Sadly, iOS 7 still feels like android. :-(

I wish Apple would focus less on these unknown bugs and more on making iOS 7 feel like iOS rather than feel like android.

Did you not deal with the launch of
iOS 2.0? It was worse.

I did indeed deal with it. In terms of how polished iOS has become over the years, iOS 7 is an obvious step back so it's decidedly more jarring.

Safari crashing, apps crashing to the Apple logo (maybe due to 64bit devices - can't tell you since I'm all 64bit), broken animations, slower animations frustrate etc etc. It's never-ending with iOS 7. I like it in theory, but so much of it seems completely unnecessary. As my aging aunt said to me the day she installed iOS 7, change for the sake of it is not a positive thing. While I don't agree that iOS 7 can be fairly targeted this way holistically, it's certainly a statement that rings true in many aspects.

iPad2 OK.

Not the smoothest update, but survived.

What is taking these 15MB updates so long to install? The whole thing took about 20mins, and none of that was download time.

At the end the thin progress bar below the Apple logo (as opposed to the earlier thick progress bar below the Apple logo during install) got to about 1/2 way then the iPad shutdown. I waited a bit then hit the power button. The swipe-in screen appeared for about half a second then it went dark...oh oh...but after a second push of the power button everything went fine.

I would love to see some battery improvements on my iP5. It's ripping through battery like never before. Updating now....

Yeah just went to Monoprice.com and bought a 5.3A 12watt USB external battery. I have gotten my battery drain down, but still nice to have the option for a quick pick me up.

No thanks although they claim it's for "FaceTime" etc Might impact on my battery life. Where is the fix for lagging ios7 etc, even that I could pass on.

Hate the silence on Apple reducing battery time on my iP5 via ios7 update the iPad 3 was even worse, hence why i'm NOT doing my AIR,

Hopefully this does fix some battery issues. Ever since upgrading my iPhone 5 to ios7 I've had periods where my battery drains 20% in 30 minutes while not being used. Not to mention the phone shutting off and claiming to be dead battery at the 30-40% range. And yes, I've done multiple battery drains, etc to re-calibrate!

Me too. It's waaaay lame.

Safari crashing, apps crashing to the Apple logo…

Yes, the Safari seems to actually be a webkit problem since the browser used doesn't make much difference. Pages with long Disqus reply threads are having memory paging issues that break webkit rather than just slowing it down. Anytime the page starts it 'you've typed a new line' re-plot there is a delay and then either typing catch up or just a crash, sometimes down to the Apple logo restart.

I just updated both my Verizon iPhone 5S and retina iPad mini OTA, no issues at all. I was nervous reading through this thread, but no hiccups at all.

I wonder if Apple found a workaround for the patent problem that required them to use a proxy server for Facetime?

It'd be nice if Facetime started working peer to peer again. When it was I would always get flawless HD calls. When the proxy bullsheeit started, the calls went down in quality fairly significantly.

I just want the music app bugs fixed. Stupid app crashes every few hours or restrings the phone entirely. I have tried restoring etc etc. The music player was very reliable in past versions sadly the update have turned it into a garbage pit. The remote app looks so cool and nicely designed, sadly the music app doesn't share the compliments.

I agree. I'm very happy with iOS 7 overall, and would never think of going back to 6, but the music app definitely needs work.

what??

Since iOS 7 I havent been able to sync my iphone with itunes properly.
is this fixed yet? Is anyone else having this problem? The bar gets stuck on 'waiting to apply'

Tapping Wallpapers & Brightness twice on an iPad still makes Settings crash.

And if you have multiple mailboxes in Mail that are download, it now crashes intermittently since the iOS7 update on my iPad4.

Safari also crashes a lot more as well, especially if there is a lot off buffering it must do to load a page.

I can't sync either. It goes through the full cycle but the songs do not show up on my phone. Also, when I click on "on this phone" in iTunes, the songs are there but show the downloading icon next to them.

Just a fantastic update, don't know what it fixed, but it broke the hotspot login for me. Same thing happens if i open Safari, no connection, this popup shows up and crashes a few times. Just fantastic.

Is it possible for me to update my old iPhone 4S still on iOS 6 to the new version 6.1.5? I don't want iOS 7 on it.

If you can sift through this link and find your IPSW file for the 4S, then you can manually update through iTunes.

http://ax.phobos.apple.com.edgesuit...appserver.client.MZITunesClientCheck/version/

Please stop giving out wrong advice. jent, you won't be able to install 6.1.5 even if you tried. You will be forced to install 7.0.4.
