Any word on whether this has fixed the music playback bug?

I don't know if this is an iPhone 5S only bug or if it is affecting other devices, but there is a bug where if you are playing music and unlock your phone, the music spontaneously skips back to where it was the last time you unlocked your phone. Infuriating, and also something that I would think should be very easy to fix.

I've never had that bug, and I use the music app for about 8 hours straight a day, occasionally unlocking to check twitter.

The irony of this is that I use Facetime a lot, and haven't had ANY issues with it under iOS 7 so far.

So for me, they fixed a nonexistent bug!

Well thats good news for you and a lot of other facetimers!

Try This.

Open an app, then double click the home button, swipe up to close that app, notice how the status bar reapers. Now tap your home screen and watch the two status bar's overlay.

However, when open an app, then exit out of the app normally (one hone button click), go into multitasking and then close that app, the status bar will not re-appear.

Just one of the many graphical bugs and glitches Apple is yet to fix.

At this point we will be lucky to get them in 7.1. Next year iOS 8 headline will be " all the crap that was wrong is finally fixed "

OMG! I asked this earlier in the thread and I thought it was only me that had this issue. Glad I'm not the only one. Already submitted this bug using the Apple Bug Reporter so hopefully we'll have that fixed soon. :)

Animations still stutter all over the place. Music app still a mess, devices randomly re-sprnging. BUT THANK GOD THEY FIXED FACETIME!!!!!!!!!!

7.0.4 out on hour ago and your devices "randomly respring" ???
Dude you are a troll or you have a faulty device ....

----------

What is "Android like" crash? I never had Android crash on any of my Android devices.

Noooo, android is just perfect ... Sure

iPad 3, 32 GB, WiFi

In iOS 6 I had my Bluetooth Setting turned OFF.

I upgrade to iOS 7, Apple changes my Bluetooth Setting to ON. I proceed to change it back to OFF.

I upgrade to iOS 7.0.2, Apple changes my Bluetooth Setting to ON. I proceed to change it back to OFF.

I upgrade to iOS 7.0.3, Apple changes my Bluetooth Setting to ON. I proceed to change it back to OFF.

I just now upgraded to iOS 7.0.4, Apple yet again changes my Bluetooth Setting to ON.

Why, oh why, are you changing my Settings, Apple?

I think it's somewhat airdrop related. AirDrop is on by default after an update, so wifi and bt are on.
I can't see any major problem in switch it off after the update ....

Updates happen every few weeks at most.

Turning off Bluetooth takes about one second with the control panel..

You easily wasted enough time writing this post to turn Bluetooth off about 10-15 times. Think about that.

5 days after release, iOS7 was on over 200 million devices - by now it's many more. If even 10% of them turn Bluetooth off, that's over 20 million people that have to spend "about one second" (it's really more) every time there's an update to turn it back off. Versus the few seconds it would take a coder to change a line of code so that iOS keeps the last saved setting.

Think about that.

Really dude? I get random resprings a lot, the music app still does suck and animations are barely improved since 7.0. All valid complaints.

How a mediator hasn't suspended you from the forums for name calling is mind boggling.

After several reboots and a clean install of the new 7.0.4 my device is very laggy. Anyone else experiencing this?

Lipstick on a pig

Completely agree.

Fixed one....

It seems to have fixed one weird thing that vexed me:

-Emails,
Sent via an Activesync account
To an activesync account on the IOS device
That contained a PDF or DOC or DOCx attachment formerly:

"Cannot load attachment",
Alternate PDF viewers would not work either
If you tried to load an alternate then tapped on the pdf it would endlessly load.

Now under IOS7.04:

Tap on the PDF icon:
-"Cannot load PDF"
-Tap on it again - it works
-Everything works!

However:

.JPEGs still behave as above:
-Tap on the JPEG "Cannot load Attachment"
-Tap and hold, try to open with other apps - no joy
-Then tap again, loads endlessly.

Weird. That was an annoying one.

We found that if users forwarded the email to gmail or yahoo and then to our corporate addresses it would open but not directly from an IOS device or a PC or Windows computer.

Hmmm still no way to delete all photos. I wonder if Apple will ever bring back that functionality.

What's bothersome to me is what other settings changed? At every upgrade I don't want to verify my background app refresh, automatic downloads, etc. At this point in the code I'm wary of regression bugs.

Maybe I'm just getting old and grouchy. IMHO the lack of transparency is getting boring as the quality becomes suspect. If it's a bug, fix it. If not, whip up some marketing that makes me wonder how I ever lived with it when it remembering the previous setting. :)

Sorry , Jony.
I still prefer Scott Forestall's iOS 6.
Not only iOS7 feel like an android phone...
disappointingly, it also feel like just a beta version...

Yadda, yadda, yadda. Your battery has one or more bad cells. This behavior is what happens. Have the battery tested and replaced.

(cue meaningless rant about how this didn't happen before iOS 7)

I've got news for you friend: in my case it WAS iOS 7 and was confirmed by the Genius Bar rep.

(cue meaningless reply from know-it-all who doesn't know all the facts)

One of low severity and priority graphical glitches Apple is yet to fix, given that there are much much bigger fish to fry, as they say. Hopefully Apple is focusing on things that are actually of higher severity/priority than that.

For whatever reason, the bluetooth setting change seems to be fairly common, while any other setting changes seem to be fairly uncommon.

Yeah, that graphical glitch isn't that bad. Look at this one. I noticed it because I closed the folder from page two and remembered that I was needing to go to whatsapp, so I opened it immediately, and that's how it showed up for a second. Not a huge deal.....but still sloppy work.

Why would he be kidding?

Look at how often Android handsets get updated?

We've had 4 since iOS7 release 2 months ago. Averaging 2 per month. Not bad. Constant stream.

Not bad? At this rate (2 per month), I'd guess Apple has one unpaid Intern working on iOS7 bug fixes. Lets see...6 down, hundreds to go. And, everytime they release an update, it's for some seemingly obsure issue that the majority of people aren't even complaining about!

No bad.

Apple never admits anything is wrong. It's always just better.

Once, just once, I'd love to have the dog-and-pony show events have something go wrong...some glitch, something that we all have to endure daily, happen in front of millions of watchers!

Awesome! It happens on every iDevice, and its just complete and utter graphical slop from a company who prides itself on design.

Hope we get a fix :)

So funny, I posted on here a couple weeks ago that Facebook was killing iOS 7, and got a ton of FanBoys saying I was making it up. Wow, turns out everyone was having the same issue. PATCHED!

What Facebook issue and what was patched in relation to it?

Facetime to fail?

Is that a euphomism for where FaceTime calls my mom after I dialed my dad and then the history of the FaceTime app and the hisotry of the Phone app disagree with each other over who I just called?

I call that a failure, but I'm just curious if that's what they're talking about here.

Make sure your parents aren't sharing an iCloud account. I've seen something similar happen before with iMessage.
