Am I the only one perplexed by Apples really novice experimentation with interface design!? Design suggestions for inactive/active shift is just stupid. As is many other design elements or lack of design elements. There is ONE easy solution to this shift-design-frenzy. Make the button pushed (that is engraved) when active and elevated when not active. THEN - users will not make a mistake. Now I have to think every time I use shift!? Ive - get your head out of your ass!

Agreed, it just screams apple doesnt know what theyre doing. I disagree that it should be elevated etc thats still not clear enough, highlight the button blue when in shift highlight the whole shift key blue when in caps!

WHY does it take so many updates to get the button / keyboard layout right? If I didn't know better I might have thought they just quickly released iOS7. Like all software today. The users really are the testers now.

It's been fixed on previous updates or will be fixed with 7.1?

7.1 will fix it. I am running it since the first beta and I can confirm (and amp any other developers in the dev forum) that the crashes are history. But yes, for most people who don't have 7.1 the issues are still there..

I so badly want 7.1 to be released to the public already, the 7.0 bugs aren't terrible on my iPhone 5 but 7.0 on the iPad Air is really a mess

why didn't they expand the folders on iPad? 3x3 on a iPad screen is a joke, especially when the previous iOS folders were larger

Why can't they just make it that all the letters on the keybaord are lower case and when you click on the shift key they all show capitalized?

My guess is that this was tested and rejected even before the first iPhone shipped in 2007. I think this is one of those things that seems like a good idea but in practice is worse for the user.

AirDrop works fine for me between iPhone 5 and iPad Air

Interesting...wondering if it matters what combo you have that decides if it works or not. I have a ATT iphone 5S and ATT iPad Air and I couldn't get the 2 to communicate at all. I immediately rolled back to Beta 4 because this is feature I use frequently. The underlining and color of the shift key (aesthetics) is at the bottom of my list compared to broken features/functionalities that' has become part of my daily workflow.

Hopefully someone with the same I device combo can confirm if Airdrop is indeed working or not.

I have an iPad Air and an iPhone 5s restarted both and AirDrop still does not work between the devices. This did happen with a previous update and it took restoring the devices as new instead of just updating or restoring from backup to get running again. Not tried a fresh install yet as I'm waiting for 7.1 GM before I scrap the info from both devices.

I disabled and re enabled Airdrop and it works now.

Ok makes sense.

Specifically what devices do own?

Thanks
