I love the Siri change, I think the one most are missing out on is the 'Darken Colours' option in Accessibility. It's made it so much nicer to look at across all the apps. Very happy with the snappiness. was a 214MB update OVA fgor me on my un-beta'd 5.

The only thing I'm a little unhappy about is that the Today View/Notifications pages seem to not use the Dynamic Text option anymore... It's made it feel big and unsightly (a little anyways).

I've just hammered a bunch of stuff and it's nice and stable for me... haven't seen any crashes yet, but it's early days.

I still get a little stutter when first using spotlight, but that's about it.

The only issue now will be updates from app developers to make apps load as snappy as the OS now feels.

being able to manually control when siri stops listening is huge. now i won't have to tell people near me to be quiet to use her.

It amazing how many people feel this way. However, you never had to do that. Tapping on the wavy lines, made her stop listening, and start working on your query/command.

Anyone else find the UK 'Natural’ voices less natural and more robotic than what we had before?

Ugh. Control Center has a weird jiggling motion when pulling it up on my iPad mini. Also, the letters on the keyboard are bolder and look a bit strange. Slide to unlock and Slide to power off also look strange. Oh well.
I don't like the Control Center jiggle on my iPhone 5s either, but we gotta take the good with the bad I guess. Welcome to the future of software as a service, as opposed to software as a product.

You can mitigate it by guiding the Control Center all the way up to its peak with your finger as opposed to summoning it with a small swipe and letting it come the rest of the way up by itself.

For passcode or screen timeout?

sorry should have stated: that is ios 7.0 autolock timeout: 1, 2, 3, 4, or 5 minutes (or never).
in ios 7.0, passcode timeout has one option "immediately".

Im not sure why passcode and autolock have separate configurable timeouts. Seems they would follow eachother.

TouchID seems to be tremendously improved. Before updating it took 2-3 tries to unlock, now its instant (and this is without re-scanning my prints)

Is this the new "Safari is snappier!" ?

I've been running 7.1 for a while now, and there's honestly no tangible difference between 7.0 and 7.1 in my/my wife's testing. Placebo is a placebo. Sure, Apple says there's a difference, but then again DICE said they'd fixed the sound issues in Battlefield 4, too. :p

I don't know if anyone else has noticed the change in Slide to Unlock? Mine is now black. Eh, I miss the white/gray text.

Mine still seems to be white/silver...

It should have been caught six months ago.
Agreed, but seems like they rushed out 7.0 rather than delaying it and getting it right, which probably affected all of this in 7.1 (along with probably some other things that they put into it). But, again, hopefully the longer time only means that it's (finally) that much more stable and better performing now.

+1000

A lot of time Siri would stop me midway through. Very annoying! Can't wait to get home and upgrade after work.

Superb update. However is it just me or is anyone else experiencing laggy notification/control centre on the lock screen?

They are smooth everywhere else but are somewhat laggy on the lock screen. They were silky smooth in 7.0.6

I'm using an iPhone 5

So this is what the tech-savvy new world order has brought us. People having orgasms over a software upgrade for their telephone.

Good lord…
Most have hobbies, yours appears to be thinking about other people's orgasms.

Try restarting your phone, anytime I notice lag after an update that usually helps.
