Pretty nice.

Overall, good job on the update for the stuff I do. My only complaint is that "reduce transparency" changes the color of things like the folder background and the dock background from a pleasant white-ish color to dark grey with black lettering, of course. This is with the same wallpaper and everything. Must be a small bug. Otherwise everything seems nice other than now having three increase contrast settings where in iOS6 we didn't seem to need any...wait! I'll just hold my tongue until later. :)

Still don't really like iOS7.

Why do they still insist that you have to be connected to a wifi network to download these updates. It's a freaking mobile FFS. You should be able to use your mobile network. I have 4G with unlimited data and up to 50Mbps download speed. Why should I have to go into a coffee shop with free wifi just to update my iPhone. It's just plain stupid.

Because they have a deal with all of the wireless providers to keep it that way. Besides, can you imagine what would happen to the cell network if a few million people all decided to update their OS at 250MB-1.4GB a pop on the same afternoon?

Anyone know if "Xcode 5.1 beta 5" is still available somewhere until the Xcode 5.1 is released on the Mac app store? I have a 7.1 issue to fix... :D

Many thanks!

EDIT: never mind... It is there now

Did any of you notice that perspective zoom (parallax effect) is still on even when you turn it off?
Could someone check that on iPhone 5S? Thanks!

Edit: Actually just the home screen. The lock screen seems fine.

you need to choose for which screen you need the parallex effect. tap on the home screen and switch off then save it then tap on the lock screen and switch it off.

Anyone notice a difference with location services? Mine is showing my location being used all the time with no apps running. Tracked it down to the Nike+ app, which previously disappeared if I closed the app. Now that I've deleted it, it's showing the outline around the location triangle.

The only way I got rid of that Other was to do a restore from backup when I went from ios 6 to ios 7. I had over 5 GB of other and after I did a restore from backup it went down to 1.2 GB of Other so it freed up a lot of space for me. I just did ios 7.1 and it still shows 1.2 GB of Other so I am happy I have more free space.

Yes, a restore from backup will get rid of the excess Other for me, too. But over time, it grows again. I have to do, on average, two restores every month to keep my Other reasonable.

OH NO!!! ARE YOU SERIOUS??? SAFARI TABS ARE STILL RELOADING???

I guess we all better storm the Apple stores, demanding refunds.

People are just curious about this as it has been a hot button for quite awhile.

You do not have to demand a refund, some folks will not be amused and since I can get my Air to crash as well, Best Buy will now have another open box. Web browsing is one of the major things I do on an iPad.

First world problem ;)

nice, hopefully I don't have the random bluetooth issues in my car any further.

Calendar Search View

I'm not sure I like the new Calendar Search View. Before, it was sort of a "back door" method of getting the old list view back. Now it seems like it is only a true search feature. The new "monthly" calendar view with a list shows only one day at a time. I liked seeing a list of appointments spanning multiple days.

Try a program called Phone Clean Pro. There is an old free version still floating around the net. You can use that to test your iPad and iPhone with, to see if you want to purchase the new paid version.

It has worked well for me. Your mileage may vary. It beats having to do clean installs all the time, as far as I am concerned.

Does anyone know how to disable Voice Dial? I think it used to be in the passcode area but it's not there anymore.

If I don't switch it off (after every update, it forgot my preference every time) my iPhone pocket dials like crazy.

For those of you with black app labels in the dock and folders and probably the homescreen slide to unlock - you have reduce transparency turned on. It's in the Increase Contrast setting.

Circular button changes are ridiculous!!

Just wanna say, the circular button changes are incredibly ridiculous and bad design. Ie: answer call screen, turn off screen, etc...

The answer call screen annoys me the most. I mean they went from a beautiful screen where the big easy to use buttons sit over your callers fullscreen picture to a google-esqe screen with small round buttons and a little round picture of your caller. Come on apple.

Same for me. It usually accumulates to just under 2 GB which seems excessive for someone who doesn't use Messages

Why must the cool fx in the weather app be disabled just because I have all the OS UI crap disabled to save my battery and avoid the slow transitions? The two don't seem related whatsoever. Shouldn't that just be an option in the weather app itself? I'll really miss the fancy weather fx because no way am I turning all that OS junk back on.

Bottom line: Apple, you ruined the coolness you added to the weather app.
