Yes, but we use Chrome.
Chrome, just like any other iOS browser, uses the same web view that Safari uses, but even without the faster/better Nitro JavaScript engine, so realistically it should behave the same way (and possibly worse/slower) when it comes to rendering and interactions with web elements as Safari.

In the beta, the voices sounded robotic to start, but improved overnight. Someone somewhere said that high quality voices download overnight when charging and on wifi, not sure how true that is.

I agree that Siri still sounds very robotic, could it be we need to wait for high quality voices to download??

If Safari's engine is using up too much RAM, and that's causing the issue, it wouldn't be a problem for Chrome. After all, Safari has the engine with the hack to use more RAM.

I've found one odd thing in the "Music" app - in the "Artist" view, where it shows all albums for an artist, these are now chronologically backwards.

Before 7.1, it would show all albums for an artist from the Oldest first - now, the newest is first, and they go "backward" in time.

Not exactly intuitive, as normally you would listen to an artists work in date order, oldest first...

Seems now I can leave twitter open. Lock. And Touch ID unlocks and doesn't freeze like before. Impressed.

We need a new thread about finding all the differences with 7.1

But the Music App still needs work...way too much scrolling when you have 100 albums by a single artist.

My 2¢: - I'm thrilled that list view has returned to Calendar.

- The "button" feature is odd. It makes it slightly easier to see what to click on, but isn't visually pleasing.

- I miss the zoom animations when closing apps. I found it did help focus me on the next screen. The gentle fade is confusing.

I don't understand this. Speedtest says my download is 30mbps, iTunes says 12 hours to go when downloading iPhone Software Update.

Is a direct download file available? I know it's launch day, but the resources of Apple shouldn't lead to 12 hour download times for a 1.5Gb file, surely?

Some people are never happy.

Yeah, that was the case with betas, and likely with the final now.

disagree. when looking at it in the shift or unshifted modes, I can't tell which is which until typing -- the key with its background gray, like the backspace key, or the key with its background white like the letter keys? no way of knowing which.

is iOS 6 it turned blue, which was unlike the other keys on the board and very easy to do discern its unique state.

I can easily tell when it's on shift and when it's not. I guess I'm just used to beta 5 where the switched it. After a few days I'm sure you'll get used to it. And I definitely agree iOS 6's shift keys were more intuitive. But thank goodness they didn't use betas 3-4 shift keys, that would've been an absolute nightmare.

Umm... anybody know how to darken the keyboard? Can't find the damn settings button :(

Dark keyboard was removed after beta 1.

In calendar you can now only set events in 5 minute time increments. Why do they so insist on giving and taking away?!

so currently I'm on 7.0.4.

and I have 7.0.6 downloaded and pending install.

So I have to install it then I can see 7.1?

Someone posted on Ipad forum thread that Safari on 7.1 release is slower with web pages than beta 5!

Someone posted in this thread, less than 2 hours of 7.1 going live, that battery life had took a hit. Point being, lots of knee jerk ill informed opinions flying everywhere.

I've noticed that too. I preferred it to be blank rather than say "Music" as a placeholder in the Control Centre :|

It's actually showing which app has 'control' of the music buttons, which is useful. For example, mine says Rdio, so I know if I hit play, I am playing Rdio.

Is it just me or does iOS 7.1 make the 5S run quicker? The animations feel drastically faster.

Well it's definitely faster and more stable on my Air now that in 7.0.x. Hardly any refreshes so far and no crashing, not even on that apple features page. The NIN page is a joke, it took over a minute to load on the windows 7 laptop and just less on mavericks on the MacBook Air. Someone should be fired for that abomination.

The animations have been sped up quite a bit.
