Apple Releases iOS 7 Beta 1, Xcode 5 Preview to Developers

anyone else have a bunch of "Genius Playlists" on the playlists section in the Music app?
 
Phone app freezing?

Anybody else experiencing issues with the phone app? Keeps freezing or becomes unresponsive as you switch between the various screens (contacts, keypad, voicemail).

anyone else having ATT activation issues after upgrading to iOS 7? It wont accept my att account info. And since they are ATT they closed hours ago. (screwing anyone not on the east coast)
 
Has anyone thought of dissecting the beta for hardware clues or other interesting information about the apple roadmap?

I didn't have any issues. Are you referring to the iTunes activation?

Still not clear if you can turn on and off the automatic updates for apps, since the above picture shows something which exists in my iphone 4s ios5 as well.

EDIT : nope, I didn't notice the fourth option "updates"

So let me get this...

Ive looked at an Android phone and thought "yeah, this looks cool." One strong advantage iOS had over Android was consistent sleek looks. I wish Scott Forstall back. iOS7 is unbearably ugly. It is not the simplicity (with elegance and function) that Ive applies to hardware. The icon design themes are inconsistent, and some of them like Reminders look like they belong to the beginning of internet and ugly even for that standard. I am disappointed with the looks.

I am it asks to verify account info...which I have enter correctly (billing zip and last 4 of SS) and it fails every time.. so I am stuck there. Tried to go back to iOS 6 and I get the same error.. seems to be an ATT issue
 
did they remove the share widget from ios7? (tweet or update facebook status from the notification centre)?

And to get the idea about signal strength you need to count circles while previously you just looked at the last bar and immediately get it based on its size.

– ^That's why Siri panel now shows "Tap to edit" under your question, since there's no any other visual clue that it's tappable. When you have to explain something (what was clear in iOS 6) to the user it's a very bad UI design.

– Share panel is a mix of colored and outline icons. Again you need to make an effort to differentiate between outline icons, they're harder to read than before.

– The whole UI doesn't feel consistent, you always need to guess something or spend some time in an app to just understand the interface layout. Getting tired and bored very quick.

– iOS lost its unique, rich style. Definitely a huge step back.

Oh boy here we go. Can't people just post there opinion? Not to mention Mactendo isn't the only apple fan to post or say the same things. I have iOS 7 installed and I'm not loving it either. There isn't much innovative about granted its hard for an smart phone maker to really innovate there isn't much left. Instead they copy the same services that exist (pandora/spotify) and copy features that exist. I have no problem with apple doing this as they were lagging behind in some basic features but at least do it just as well if not better and make it look nice like you use to do.

I honestly think Job's would have said no to this look. I never thought I would say it but I miss Forstall.

Fall 2013 according to the IOS 7 General Public Website.

P.S. A friendly reminder for other ADC Program Members: Handing out UDID's for a Fee is a Serious Violation of Apple's ADC Program NDA and if caught can lead to Termination of your Apple ADC Program Memership and Your Apple ID may be Banned as well! Just FYI!

I see. My phone is unlocked so i'm not sure if that makes a difference. I never got prompted for anything. I simply did a restore of iOS7 then restored my backup and that was it. I also have a developer account and have my phone on my account.

P.S. IOS 7 Beta 1 runs just fine on my 16 GB Sprint PCS Apple IPhone 5, however it is now more difficult to KILL OPEN PROGRAMS, so use CAUTION before installing it on an 8 GB IPhone 4 AND/OR IPhone 4S. Just FYI.

I don't know if anyone has noticed or mentioned it at all but I can't seem to find spotlight :/

EDIT: Never mind, I found it. You have to perform a pull-down just like you do with mail and twitter to refresh and a search box comes down from above. This can be done on any page in springboard from outside of the dock.

You're bad at guessing, relax... I'm not sure who are you, but I'm a long-time Apple user. Never used an Android. Yes, I'm good at what I do, that's true, thanks.
