Says 2 hours, but I don't see the usual circle of "download buffering/loading webpage" if you know what I mean. For those of you that have already done the update, did you see it?

I was able to get in no problem with the updates. The total download and installation time for both of my machines was about a half an hour. I'm getting use to it, but absolutely love it.

iTunes store conditions have changed

iOS 7 installed (iPhone 5 64Gb) Animations slow. Attempted to update Apps (loads) 54 pages of legal bs to wade through, with no apparent way to accept?
DO WE TEST THIS Apple??

False. If you have a device which is eligible for iOS 7, Apple stops signing iOS 6. Go ahead, try it in a few days - let me know how it works. It's the same reason if you are on a 4S or 5 you couldn't install iOS 6.1.3 or earlier, only 6.1.4 as it was the most recent firmware.

100% agree. Once the signing window closes you can't install a previous firmware.

Didn't AppleTV get a software update last week? I'm pretty sure it did.

No. There hasn't been a new software update to Apple TV in many months. Don't confuse new apps being added with a software update. They are not the same.

my iphone says can not connect to apple store so I cant activate after the upgrade... what does this means?

it could have something to do I havent paid this month fee and the phone is suspended?

cant it be activated by wifi? :(

Well I remember reverting back to iOS 5 when iOS 6 first came out. I have an iPhone 4.

Yes, there is a very small window after a new iOS version is released where they still sign the old version. It could be as short as a few hours, or as long as a few days. After that, they stop signing the old version, and you can no longer install it.

The worst part is having to download iOS 7 once for each device type you have. In may case it's only 2 devices, but for some families that have several different iOS devices bought over a few years may need to download iOS 7 several times.

I've been using it for the past 15 minutes, and my opinions of it are...

...mixed.

Barring a couple of things here and there, I do like the new UI. The new multitasker is so, so much better than the previous one.

What I don't like is how it's made my iPad 3 chunkity, not quite as smooth, and occasionally unresponsive. Just changing wallpapers can sometimes lead to 5-6 second freeze ups. Other times I have to press buttons multiple times before I get a response.

So...

UI? Pretty alright. I haven't played with it enough yet, but I could see it growing on me.

Performance? Not impressed. At all.

Agreed....it's so much better how Android balances the load by having most manufacturer's phones/tablets/etc. not easily upgradeable.

Actually, for Google's Nexus phones, they are able to rollout OS updates gradually so it doesn't kill their servers. Apple should really consider it.

Google even allows it for their app store as well which is great for developers worried about pushing out buggy updates.

I like how my iPad mini now makes use of the higher-resolution iPhone 5 apps rather than the old pre-iPhone 5 resolution.

Started download at 1:10 done and working by 1:35, love the update looks great on my white 5 :)

Trying out iTunes Radio now for the first time. Just clicked on Beatles Radio station. I'm already an Rdio and Pandora subscriber, and use them on iOS and Android. Not sure if I'll use it iTunes Radio, but neat it comes with it now.

i rather like it. especially the way i can wish list songs i like to maybe buy later.

but my one beef is that we can't see anything about the general info of a station. what genres, what artists. one thing i loved about lala.com that I had hoped Apple would restore was being able to look at an artist and create a playlist sampling of their stuff. or even see a list of similar artists and create a sampling of that whole group. I would like to see that back. And perhaps bring back the whole follow users features. I would love to see what playlists others have created and play them as a station (perhaps then branching off into other tracks similar to the ones on the list).

So much they could do with that, these genre experts, some better metadata and all the genius/match data.

How do I downgrade?

Steve Jobs is rolling in his grave!! The entire iOS team should be fired for this piece of crap. It looks like a junior design team from 1984 IBM designed it. I might switch to the Lumia 1020 if I can't downgrade

The longest hour

Mine has been saying "About one hour remaining" for about an hour....

But the little blue dot is still growing ever so slowly, so I know it isn't frozen.

Has anyone had any issues updating OTA? I read an article that said the software may become corrupted or other problems could crop up in the software if you update OTA? Is this valid or just someone being paranoid?

Paranoid with a bit of delusion. Apple WON'T install something without the download going perfectly. They have at least something as simple as an MD5 checksum check that has to be correct before they start. In some cases you'll see a message like 'verifying download'. My iPad2 update is just about finished off of Wi-Fi.
