Updated failed on iPad. I've got GM on iPhone 5, so I don't have to do that at least. But I've been looking forward to seeing how it looks on iPad.

Maybe I will try again in a few hours. But I guess I can't imagine that traffic is going to go down anytime soon. I thought maybe I was ahead of the curve here.

I started downloading just a minute or two before 1pm eastern. Doing the update directly on my iPhone 5. My internet is not the fastest, so it looks like it will take 30 minutes.

When 10s of millions are hitting the servers...it has nothing to do with them...it has to do with the pipes going in and out and those roads are bumper to bumper.

Yup. I'm finally able to resume my download, and it's giving me the same 7 minute wait time as before. But really, I'll honestly be surprised if I'm able to get it in the next two hours.

edit: Yup. Right after hitting the submit button, it crapped out on me. I might just wait for a bit and let the rush die down.

mine has jumped from 2 hours to 45 mins but my status bar is still barely blue..now it says 1 hour again. I'm at school so my wifi isn't great but I'm hoping I don't get an error.

iPad mini wins

WTH I started my iPhone first and Mini last. The Mini finished downloading in 8 minutes. iPhone now says 2 hours, iPad 4 3 hours

Yep, same here. I can hit "Download and Install" and it just goes to preparing to update, then fail.

kicker is my itunes is'nt even recognizing an update... still on old version

Funny iTunes still says I have the most recent version. But downloading from WiFi on software update on iPad and only a six minute download and already installing!

Was downloading, and then it timed out to this error.

I've got this result on my iPhone 5, iPad 2, and iPad mini...i just am trying my 5 now and it says 6 minutes left...hopefully it doesn't fail again!
