Still showing 6.1.4 is the newest for mine. OTA update hasn't brought anything up either on the phone.

meanwhile at apple:

"lets only give them over the air upgrades and not through itunes. this way we can cheap out on server costs."

Oh crap, download time was at 3 mins for the ipad OTA and now has gone to 7 mins and seems to be slowing down.

Anyone else getting "Software Update Failed"? Too many people trying to download right now?

Servers must be getting slammed. i wonder if Apple will announce any upgrade stats during their next keynote.

Tried downloading on iPad mini and it keeps bugging out "error occurred".

iTunes says 6 is the current one

Bugger.

It's going like the clappers now! This is the first OS download since I've had BT's fibre optic internet and all I can say is, I do not miss ADSL. Not one bit.

I had six minutes left on the OTA download and then I got an error that said the update failed. Tried to go back in to download the update OTA a few times since and each time it says that the update failed.

Why Apple doesn't stagger the availability of the OTA upgrades based on geography, I'll never know.

For the people wondering about the GM/Release...

I'm running the GM and it's the same build, it even says I'm up to date if I try to update.

Same experience as others here. Got about halfway through and then the update failed. Subsequent attempts to download result in an error as well. =/

I think we were all hoping we could beat some of the onslaught on Apple's servers. I'll keep trying to download it. We'll all just have to be more patient, but this isn't anything new for major iOS releases. I just hoped Apple would be able to better handle demand this time.
