Downloading to my iPad now. I like how the gears in the "settings" icon start turning when you download these... :)

Hopefully this fixes some of the stability problems I'm having with my 6 Plus. I hope I don't have to plug it in to update. I'm currently doing an experiment to see if I can last two days on a single charge. Currently I'm on day two, 41%, with 8 hours usage and 1 day 7 hours of standby. I even purposefully ran it down (about 10% using the flashlight while streaming videos) so it would start at 50% today so that I can accurately measure to see if it runs down faster for the second half of the battery (improper calibration).

Hope this fixes the iMessage to MMS problem

where one can only reply to a group that was once in iMessage, only via text (on an iPhone, but still by iMessage on an iPad)

Great! This should also fix the bending problem too, right? ;)

Yup! It adds a layer of Plastic over the screen. :D

That will probably be addressed in 8.1.

This post doesn't surprise me. Sigh...

Does it fix a bug that makes the iPhone 6 Plus more likely to bend ?

Even Apple may not be able to solve the problem of a 200 pound butt pressing down on a piece of thin metal.

Yeah I hear it also makes the phone waterproof

Does this fix the bendgate issue?

Wow, the third person on the FIRST page to ask this. Let's see how many we get on page 2...

No!, charging mine in the microwave did the trick.

It's not really asking cus it's a joke. But read the forums before you post.

Take care of your $700 mini computer. STOP sitting on it.

And Please use the proper thread for this topic.

Am I the only one not having any bugs at all? I had a few of the ones mentioned in the betas but this GM is working perfectly. The only thing that bothered me (apart from Continuity, with Yosemite not being out yet) was the HealthKit problem which is now apparently solved!

Thanks again Apple

iPhone 6 WiFi stuff and other iOS 8 "release" issues will probably be addressed in iOS 8.0.2.

iOS 8.0.1 has been in testing since before 8.0 was released. Many of the issues fixed in 8.0.1 were things discovered before 8.0 was even available to the public.

PS: to everyone complaining about the bugs... Come on, you should know better. If you can't handle bugs never update right away

In this new system, are the icons as dumb as in system 7, or are they more reminiscent to a robust system 6? I see now, it is just as stupid. Now, can I use Skype in this new system8? Or better yet, can I revert from system 7 back to system 6?

I guess I'm a bit more cynical...shouldn't these things have been in the original 8.0 release? Why did the process break down so badly that made it necessary to release an update so soon after a major release?

There are bugs in every single big release. And small updates after every single big release. This isn't unusual. Nothing 'broke down so badly', this is pretty much par for the course.

No Update Available- West Coast

I'm on the West Coast... it's 10am... my phone still says this update is not available when trying to update OTA. Anyone had success on west coast?

Just updated via OTA, now my iPhone 6 says no network (o2 Germany).

Touch ID doesn't work too. **** you Apple!
