For those reporting iMessage problems, I'm not sure it's the update.

I had delays on sending iMessages this morning on my Air and 6+, and I didn't update anything. It eventually resolved itself.

Same here....had issues before updating. I could send iMessages to some contacts but not others.

Updated my iPad 4. iMessage not working. Reset all settings. Still not working. Very frustrating.

Haven't updated my 5s. Will wait.

I hope the same. Air play has been way ****ed up

Yeah it has in some parts. There was an update for Apple tv as well today.
For me it seemed to have fixed the AirPlay bug when your Apple TV is in sleep mode.
However ios still has the bug where the AirPlay menu is very small on iPads.

Performance is massively improved on my iPad 2 used for testing only. I think users of the older device who chose to put iOS 8 on will be happy with this update. Apple has done a great job for iPhone 4s and iPad 2 users with this update.

I am more reluctant than ever to try this; since Apple is no longer signing 7.1.2, I have no change to go back on our 2 iPad 2s.

Think I will wait for other folks to post.....

My 4s seems snappier (iOS 7.1.2 speed) for interaction/ navigation.
61% to 59% battery bug still present
Generally, quicker than it was on 8.1 :)

Edit: Boot up time reduced

Here's the thing about idiots....

Most people aren't. Certainly I have no right to assume lack of intelligence on the part of anyone because they make a choice different from mine.

If you're reading this forum, then you have more than enough brain power to respect others' opinions as well as state your own in polite terms.

I do love a lively discussion with thoughtful people making points I haven't encountered for me to consider. I always learn a lot from that.

Let's do more of that and emote less.

Thanks for listening.

How often do you delete apps that a 10 second duration wold be a problem?

Instant gratification takes too long.

Some people had an issue where you had to wait 10+ seconds for the pop-up to come up after you clicked the 'x' to delete an app. I don't know about you but that's really annoying and you couldn't do anything except stare at a screen of jiggling icons until that pop-up. Does that sound annoying now? I know I sure was annoyed with it seeming like it wasn't responding to my touch whenever it happened to me.

can you please post more reference about the speed on ipad 2? If it's good to update if i'm on ios 7?

I was really hoping that this update would fix a Siri issue I'm having on my iPhone 6. But it didn't. Siri and dictation do not hear anything I say at all. It works fine when I am using my ear pods w/mic. Speakerphone seems to work fine for phone calls. I don't get it. Anyone else having this problem?

Likely you have an iPhone 5 and your main microphone is broken. Siri only uses the main mic, while you can still make phone calls with the other two mics listening in. Only fix is replacement phone, mic only isn't considered fixable by Apple without logic board swap.

So far, the orientation bug seems to be better on my iPhone 6. I can't get it to stick to landscape and it switches fast, keyboard out or not. That alone makes this update worthwhile to me.
