Updated iPhone 6+, now won't boot up!!

What a nightmare. I just backed up then updated my iPhone 6+, now it's stuck in a restart loop. iTunes doesn't even see it so I can Restore it!

Anyone else having this issue?

Anyone with iPhone 5 to contribute how their phone runs?

I don't notice any difference from 8.1.2

Interestingly, this update freed up 100MB of space on my phone. Thats pretty cool. I had 1.2GB free space with 8.1.2, now 1.3GB on 8.1.3 - didn't do anything except perform an update

So, for iPhone 5 folks this is what I've notice:

+Nothing changed performance wise as far as I've notice, overall the same as before (not as good as 8.1 and before though)

+ Freed up space

- Battery draining faster than it was on 8.1.2, its gone down from 61% to 46% since I updated the phone all I've done is send texts and some light internet surfing

- iCal glitches everywhere still.

All I've noticed so far. Not a fan of the weak battery life, but I am a fan of the extra space...

No issues on iPhone 5 for me. Update went smooth, things seem good.

I didn't gain any more free space this time like I did with 8.1.1... but, I didn't lose any free space either with this update. So, no complaints.

On the plus side, I was finally able to use AirPrint again to print to my network printer. That hasn't worked for me since 7.x.x

And, I also noticed that this is the first update that I haven't had to go and turn bluetooth back off following the update (although I did skip 8.1.2 because I didn't feel the need to download another gig of data when everything was going fine - I update probably every other one).

So far seems like a great update.

6+ owners. I know it's still a bit early to judge but how's the battery been since updating to 8.1.3?

i was actually going to post that my battery today (1/28/15) has been FANTASTIC compared to when i was on 8.1.2. Not sure if i didn't use my phone as much, but i definitely noticed an improvement so far.

Just updated and within a few minutes have noticed two major issues, WIFI list keeps popping up just scrolling a web site and keyboard lag. May have to revert back to 8.1.2.

Email Bug

Okay so after updating to this. Every time I delete my emails from my phone, they still appear in my inbox. I have to go online on my laptop and manual do them from each site

Why not give it more than a few minutes? Maybe try and close all apps then reboot. Then later if needed update or restore it via iTunes rather than going back to 8.1.2? I would think give it a chance would be a better option bit that's just me. :)

Lag, probably means very heavy background updates/processes (especially on a 4S and 5c).

Many settings get resets by updates for some. Any of them related to background notifications, push, updates of apps will not only slow down the phone but drain the battery. For older phones, check if animation settings got reset too.

Reindexing the phone in the background could take a while, use the battery and slow down things (they seemingly fixed search on the phone, so I got a feeling they need to re-index).

For WIFI? Maybe reboot your router. Router connection tables sometimes get messed up when you update the phone, like they see it as a new device with the same mac address.

Does it fix the iPad Airplay bug? When you tap Airplay, the menu is so too small, plus the options appear to move down with a blank space at the top for some strange reason and you have to scroll to see the mirroring options.

update recovers deleted photos..

I had some nasty pictures on my device that I have deleted them completely from my iPhone few months a go,
Today morning I updated my iPhone 6 to ios 8.1.3 before getting to work. I got to my office and I was going to send an imassage with some pictures.....I opened the Photos app and I was terrorized to see those pictures back to my library!! this is not acceptable from apple!!
anyone with the same experience?

info:
-yes, I am sure to deleted them even from "Recently Deleted" folder
-Updated without connecting it to itunes

Your pictures might have been automatically backed up or synced with a web drive or storage or iCloud prior to deleting them. Perhaps things were resynchronized after the update.

Or, like me, my phone syncs wirelessly with my mac. So the only time I ever plug it into my Mac is when updating iOS.

Absolutely fine. I don't think that there is any notable difference. To me it was fine and lasted two days before the update and there is no indication it is any different now.

Just to be clear, are you never getting no keyboard?
that drove me nuts so I uninstalled back in 8.0

I was about to reply to your post but my Fleksy keyboard didn't show up. How ironic. It's still a pain in the ass unfortunately. Right after the update it seemed fine for the most part, but in reality it's just as bad as before.

I guess 8.2 is our last hope but I have a feeling we won't see a proper fix until iOS 9

Uh - what? I'm no longer a student, but I'm curious: what is this talking about?

This pertains to what K-12 schools are doing (at least in California). They have standard tests for the students and now they can use Apple devices to take those tests.

So far what I'm seeing is much better battery life compared to what I've had. And my battery life has always been great. But now it's impressive.

Also, AirPrint works now.

My wifi is great an "n" network.

And my carrier signal strength has returned to full bars. It has been in the 1 to 2 bars since 8.1.1 at my home location.

Or maybe what's broken down is the keyboard app itself ;-).

Seems like you got a sync from "somewhere". Sure it wasn't in the cloud?

So better than 8.1.1? Interesting 8.1.1 was impressive battery for me (iP6). Cant say I see any signal strength change but your post is all good news. What device and carrier? Verizion just got carrier update to 18.1 in the past few days as well.

Yes, better than 8.1.1 on battery for me. And battery had always been great through 6.x and 8.x.

Not sure which carrier actually handles my signal. I'm in boondocks. So local company. But they surely rebrand another service I'm sure.

I think the phones they distribute have always matched up with Verizon models but not sure. I know they aren't AT&T phones because I couldn't get AT&T phones to work on their network.

I'm using the iPhone 5 w/ 16 GB. Model MD293LL/A

One more note. On 8.1.1 I had absolutely zero signal at the college campus nearby. But I see now that it's got 3 bars so that's an improvement.

Get it into download mode and restore with iTunes

Four VZW iOS devices here. I can't say battery life is better than it was on 8.1.1, but it certainly isn't worse. Also haven't noticed any difference in reception or indicated signal strength.

From ios 6 to ios 7.x and through ios 8.1 I had consistently great battery life. Always finished the day in the 80% charge remaining area. With 8.1.1 I saw a decrease. But still very much above average. But I did get down into the 60% remaining area after a full day.

At this point now, after a full 16 hour day, emailing, texting, web browsing, and phone calls, I'm still at 83% remaining charge with 8.1.3. So I'd say I'm pleased.

I have 7.1.2 on my iPad Mini Retina and will never upgrade. If any Apps that I have that says I need to have 8.X before downloading; that "App" gets deleted.

And if any future Apps will not run on 7.1.2; it gets deleted too and I will hunt for their competitor's App to if it will run on my iPad!
