Good luck with that. I have a feeling there will be a lot of unhappy people trying this at stores that have not signed on with Apple pay.

So are you saying that a merchant can accept NFC payments but not accept :apple:Pay?

No ApplePay for the UK in this update.... But to be fair, we are still waiting for iTunes Radio.... *yawn!*

iOS 8.1 Install Error on iPhone 5S

iOS 8.1 Install Error on iPhone 5S:

I was updating my iPhone 5S (8.0.2) to the new update (8.1) and now I have an install error. Tried restarting and that did not help. Hopefully I don't have to visit the Apple store.

Thanks US Bank for plastering it all over your site saying your cards will work with ApplePay, and sending me emails that is is going to happen, and then when I tried to add to ApplePay, it says your cards are not supported.

USBank is on the "coming soon" list...not the ready on day one list on http://www.apple.com/apple-pay/

But yeah....they shouldn't be sending confusing e-mails before launch....sure to anger a more than a few customers.

Handoff not working for me.

Bluetooth enabled on iPhone 6 and Mac, same iCloud account.

No icon on Dock on Mac and no icon on Lock screen or in Multitasking on iPhone.

go to your mac settings general------>allow handoff to other devices make sure thats checked off

k this needs to be put to rest. They have to SIGN UP for :apple:pay!!!! lol thats why Tim showed what stores were PARTICIPATING lol......

Oooh cool story. You actually did answer a question I've been having. I'd been wondering why so many people seemed utterly clueless about where you could use Apple Pay. Turns out it's because jags like you, either maliciously or just stupidly, are spreading FUD all over the place. I just used Apple Pay at two merchants Tim never mentioned without a hitch.

Edit: After reading more of your posts, I still can't tell if you're really as dumb as you let on. That stupid link you keep posting means absolutely nothing. Ok now that I got that out of my system I'm done feeding your sorry arse.

Yep, that too. Still nothing. In fact, I haven't seen ANY icons since running iOS 8.1 beta.

Both enabled too in Settings.

That seems to be a copy and paste error. I'm only seeing the Safari video fix listed once in "Learn More" right above the line about adding AirDrop support for Passbook passes.

Glad to hear it's MR and not Apple. That's embarrassing.

I've used Passbook more in the past 15 minutes to add plastic to my phone than I have since its inception. Four cards added easily to Apple Pay and SMS Relay is working beautifully with my Mac. Today is a good technology day for me.

We'll be waiting a long time for iTunes Radio. The music companies ain't playing ball..

We have a wide prevalence of NFC in retailers though, so I'm hopeful the banks will get on board for ApplePay soon..

Installing it on my iPad 3. Download is 68 megs. Hope this fixes the sluggishness and bugs....

Here's hoping....!!!! :):apple:

i find it odd that america is late to this contactless payment thing. for a store not to know what it is, is bizarre.

it works well here in canada and is better than swiping, which didn't have a high success rate.

its hilarious they launched it in USA and not Canada , considering its almost impossible to find a store in canada that does not have NFC payments.
