My iPhone shows it's available, however itunes says 8.0.2 is the current version.

Naturally, there's not enough free space on the iPhone for an OTA update.

same here.

I'm on 8.0.2 and it wants 2GB for the update.

I'm getting "This version of the iPad software (8.0.2) is the current version." in iTunes 12.0.1.

EDIT...slammed!

"Update Requested..."

What does that mean? Is there a queue after you click on the accept button? Sounds like I'm waiting for approval on a bank loan.

Now that the update has been out for oh, 10 minutes or so, shouldn't someone be asking if the battery life has improved?

Good luck with that. Just because it has universal NFC reader does not mean it will work with Apple Pay. Too much mis information out there.

Wrong. If the terminal has NFC enabled (not all do), it will work with Apple Pay. The changes from the payment processors was done on the backend for Apple Pay. The terminals themselves needed no new updates for Apple Pay. Even McDonalds said today they didn't need to do anything to support Apple Pay. All they did was do some tests in their labs to make sure it worked but they didn't have to roll out any changes to their entire network of terminals.

Verifying updated iPhone software...

Hopefully it doesn't get stuck here. Last 3 times trying to upgrade my phone I've always got stuck here and was forced to do a hard reset..

Then a clean install.

Edit: Cool it went through this time :D
