In relation to the orientation fix on iPhone 6 Plus as you it emerges from your pocket, i doubt this fix would really make that much of a difference...

I mean if you keep your phone locked anyway as you up pull your phone out (why wouldn't you), if is a bug, why would anyone notice it..

And since u unlock your phone in the upright position it would be too quick for anyone to notice that .. wouldn't it ?? and even if you its not upright, you wouldn't tell since u can't see the screen at an angle.

(I think i solved most of that *checks again* ....nope ok,,,,, looks fine here)

My most important feature is the gay emoticon!! I am not sure how I survived this long without it.

Updated my iPhone 5 yesterday. The update introduced a nasty bug for me: the Music app crashes all the time, immediately after launching it; basically I can't use it any more. Sometimes it works, until the moment I switch to the next song, particularly when using the remote in my headphones. Then it crashes again. I tried a full restore of the software and music, but without succes... It does not seem to be linked to a specific song/file either. Any suggestions?

I'm glad to see they seem to have finally fixed the glitch with the status bar appearing at the wrong time in the Camera app, or making itself unreadable on a light background when switching from some apps back to Springboard.

With iOS 9 supposedly being a "refinement and bugfix" release, it hopefully won't take until 9.3 to fix the majority of the issues that will crop up in 9.0.

Cant believe nobody has mentioned this yet, but the home screen is way way darker than it was compared to before the upgrade to 8.3

my almost white background is now dark gray at full brightness

wtf?

I used iTunes to updated iPhone 6 and iPad Air. Everything went well for iPad but back up to iPhone 6 was corrupted. Called Apple and followed their instructions but nothing worked. Lost all data in iPhone and yes I did a complete backup before downloading. First time that has ever happened to me. It will take me hours to set the iPhone back the way I had it. It Sucks.

Still doesn't fix the biggest defect.

And once again, Apple still fails to fix the glaring omission of AUDIBLE, REPEATING MISSED-CALL NOTIFICATIONS.

Apple's vaunted handheld Unix computer/phone doesn't provide the simple, important functionality that was commonplace on phones 15 years ago.

FWIW my partner held off until 8.2 to update his 4S, and hasn't noticed any major slowness. It's definitely a touch slower than 7.X was but he's happy with it. 8.3 feels slightly snappier to him too.
Can confirm that iP4S and iOS 8 work just fine together. Better with iOS 8.2 and even better now with 8.3. Its my second/home phone and ai just updated today. iOS8 features are really worth it.:apple:

Emoticons in random order

Is it just me or is the order all messed up now for the emoticons? It's like I have to try hard to find where they are as they're no longer in the same order as they used to be.

Damn. That's gonna make my staring at the battery percentage all day long all the more infuriating.

Mine just went from 59 to 58. Are you guys saying it skips a number each time or just certain numbers? How in Gods name did people notice that?

It's only a few certain percentages.

What keyboard are you using? Seriously I dont get this space bar fix, my keyboard goes from "space" straight to "return/search". There's no period in between. Is there a setting somewhere I've been missing for 8 years? Lol

This is primarily when using the Safari address/search bar.

No doubt. Phew. It's about time.

Seriously...the update seems fine as far as IMPORTANT things are concerned. Stable and nothing appears to be messed up so that's good.

What a waste of time the new emojis were - the only people that can see them are those running iOS 8.3 or Yosemite 10.10.3. Anyone running an older version of iOS or running Android just sees garbage characters or aliens.

The fact that Apple updated their emoji faster than others isn't their fault. Also, how long do you think it took them to do so?

If I update my iPhone & iPad to 8.3 and I'm still running Snow Leopard on my computer, is this going to affect how Photos interacts with each other??

Considering you don't have iCloud interactivity with SL 10.6.8 anyway, it will still work the same as it does now, in that respect.

Photos was updated on the Mac side only. You will still be able to use iPhoto (and Aperture if you have it.), it's just that Apple does not offer those apps to new users anymore.

It's under Settings > iTunes and App Store > Password Settings > The little switch at the bottom.

Don't have password settings there. I'm thinking it's probably only available if you don't have TouchID (or don't have it enabled).

That's correct. If you have Touch ID enabled you should see a little message under your Apple ID that says: "Touch ID is enabled for all purchases".
