I dont want to download free apps without password entering, I dont want to write password every time when i install any app, i want to use my touch ID in appstore!!!!!! Why did you remove using touchID in Appstore???? Is it a bug?

Anytime you reboot you have to enter your password again the first time you use the App Store. It's always been that way. Try a 2nd app and see if you still have to enter a password or if you're able to use TouchID.

Hmm...looks like others are having the same issue, even after multiple purchases:

I'm on a 5s still running 7.1.2.

Any reason to upgrade yet? I heard before that iOS8 will a bit laggier than ios7, and I didn't see any features that I really wanted.

Obviously I'll eventually have to upgrade since most developers only support about 2 versions of iOS in their apps, but am debating when to do it.

What are people seeing for:

1. responsiveness / lagginess on older devices
2. any outstanding bugs that are driving you crazy on 8 that didn't exist on 7?
I have had iOS 8 on my iPhone 5 (NOT s) since 8.0, haven't noticed lag.

As far as I know the 5s does not have #1. above with iOS 8. People with 3 year old devices are the ones that may have that issue. Got 4s? if you haven't updated yet, it's up to you to decide if new features are worth it. 4s owners are the ones I'd like to know how 8.3 works for them.

I highly recommend updating to 8.3. (edit: I also highly recommend using computer/iTunes for the update.). You were smart to wait, however, iOS 8 has been the buggiest OS Apple has ever released. 8.3 is a big bug fix release, not much new in this release.

Absolutely agree - had started hating the keyboard becuase of it. Thankfully Google saved the day in most cases.

What keyboard are you using? Seriously I dont get this space bar fix, my keyboard goes from "space" straight to "return/search". There's no period in between. Is there a setting somewhere I've been missing for 8 years? Lol

Anybody know why I can't see carplay settings in the general section? I have seen images of it there so i am guessing it should still be there...

Or did they change it so you only have to pair from the car now and do nothing on the phone to set up?

Yeah it is missing on mine too. I wondered what happened to it.

Helpful response, thanks

What settings did you want to change? The pair function (to make it so you don't have to unlock) is a notification popup that happens when you connect the phone to the head unit.

Once you've done that, you then get a CarPlay menu in the settings (it's below Handoff on mine) that allows you to forget the car you've linked it to if you like or just to toggle the lock screen preference on and off.

The menu is hidden by default unless you use CarPlay first.[/QUOTE]
I was wondering what had happened since the beta prior to the last beta and now the final release, since the Carplay menu would show up and had an alert with a graphic telling the user to press the speak button on the steering wheel and then pair it with the Carplay unit( via Bluetooth) .That was gone in the last beta and is not present , at least in my phone , in the final release. I am waiting to buy a new car until the full Bluetooth integration is implemented and works . I have seen for example in the 2015 Nissan their software ( Nissan connect ) and is absolutely horrendous . Friend of mine has a new Rogue and the head unit that comes with the Rogue does not recognize Carplay and it makes you register with Nissan and then use their absolutely worthless app on the phone to do what Apple Carplay seems to be light years far from them . Time for carmakers to let Apple do what they do best ...

Anyone else having trouble getting the screenshots folder in Photos?

Also wondering about the screenshot album or folder in photos.
That really would be handy...

Looks like it was removed from the list of updates in the Macrumors article.

I see no mention of a fix for the super annoying problem when iPhone 6 camera recording stops spontaneously 6-10 seconds into a recording.

That one has been plaguing me now for over four months and actually has happened on my wife's phone now a couple of times too.

Happens to mine all the time.

This is how the Pioneer units used to work (and can still function in that mode if you want) by using a special app on your phone to effectively replicate the fullscreen car play experience. Now that the unit I have supports it natively, it seems to be much better.

Whatever it is with bluetooth, it seems to be screwy with CarPlay right now, since Pioneer have elected to disable the bluetooth system entirely on the SPH-DA120 when it detects CarPlay over the lightning cable - presumably because if you had your iPhone paired via bluetooth was well as using CarPlay it must have caused all sorts of compatibility issues. Pioneer seem to have got around this by simply switching off bluetooth entirely - if you unplug the lightning cable, the BT options are re-enabled.

Since the phone is fully functional via the car when connected with a cable, I guess it's not a downside to do it that way, but I'll be interested to see what happens with wireless CarPlay function. Presumably the software on the iPhone will have to be updated to deal with multiple connections to a car head unit.

Plug your phone into a CarPlay unit and it enables the menu in the settings. Currently only allows you to toggle the lock screen preference on and off and to delete the head unit from the phone's memory. No wireless settings visible at the moment.

Call me crazy, (my x-wife does all the time), but is it me or does the screen look like it has more contrast/pop to it? Just looks different. But hey, Like I said, I could be crazy :)

*sigh*

I just don't understand why Apple can't put lower case letters on the keyboard when typing lower case. I keep hoping each release will add this. This is like some spiteful mania with them, like the whole right-click mouse thing. Makes zero sense not to do this, every other phone I've looked at has the proper letters on the keyboard.

This always drives me insane. The caps lock key is also inverted compared to other keys, so it's always confusing which state you're actually in.

Aaaaaand yet another useless App I can't delete... Stupid Apple Watch app

I don't have that problem with my old 4S. ;)

I think they should make these stock apps the same as they do with the Nike + iPod app. Give them a slider bar setting to hide it. This would solve so many issues and complaints...

they would blow minds with that...

It'd be nice to be able to delete useless apps, but Apple "knows better." My technique to is to put them in a folder or whatever called "junk" and I keep that on the last page.

What a waste of time the new emojis were - the only people that can see them are those running iOS 8.3 or Yosemite 10.10.3. Anyone running an older version of iOS or running Android just sees garbage characters or aliens.

No, your not crazy. It does look a little vibrant than before. It's probably just our eyes wanting to see different but we could be right ;)

Looks like they finally updated the photos icon!

I do the same except my folder is called CrApps. Makes me feel better somehow.

4s owners are the ones I'd like to know how 8.3 works for them.

FWIW my partner held off until 8.2 to update his 4S, and hasn't noticed any major slowness. It's definitely a touch slower than 7.X was but he's happy with it. 8.3 feels slightly snappier to him too.
