yay!!!!!!!!!!!!!! will download it after they release an apology for all the bugs sometime next week!! Thanks Tim!! ;)

Had troubles trying to update over the air and through iTunes coming from beta. Just use direct links from Redmondpie.

I was getting the error updating using the public beta, but I had to remove the beta profile and reboot. Downloading now.

I got an error with both my iPad and my iPhone

An error occurred downloading iOS 8.3

Would the fact that I downloaded the latest public beta be an issue?

A hard reset did not help.

I remembered that I'd installed the beta config file listed in this post, so maybe that's something that's causing this?

How do you do that?

I can't find anything on the Apple TV 7.1 update other than it was released March 9. Any info on this update because I know I already installed 7.1

Fix for the error message when updating. Using Swedish version so might be wrong in some words. In settings, go to general, then profiles, delete the beta profile, hard reset device, update.

Edit: If you are on beta when updating. Both ipad and iphone got error message before, both updating right now.

I can still only see iOS 8.2. Since I am a developer I logged in to my account and what I can only see there is an option to download iOS 8.2 and iOS 8.3 beta 4

Let the servers send out the update, it will get to you eventually.

But if you are a developer the iOS 8.3 beta 3 is the release that just happened. Also you can wait for update to the developer site too.

MR sure is focused on emoji. It's just one of dozens and dozens of changes, but MR always gives it top billing, like it's the most significant feature.

Yet, look at how Apple put it... a single line item in their miscellaneous category.

It's weird. MR has been covering the emoji change in a detailed series of articles throughout the development of 8.3. This is the second emoji article just today! I just can't see it... why this particular feature change so important?

I've noticed this in few instances. What issues are you having?

Basically in almost any scenario where I need to do some multitasking. Few examples:

Example 1
- I am listening to one song in Spotify
- I'm also browsing the web
- After a minute or two, I notice, no music is playing
- Go back to Spotify: boots from start (e.g. Spotify logo for a few seconds before continuing where I left off).
(and, if I've got some bad luck:) - After selecting a song, go back to Safari... only to find out the webpage refreshes.

Example 2
- I'm writing something on a website using Safari
- I need to look something up in another app
- I go back to Safari, webpage refreshes and I lost my progress

Example 3
- I'm using Facebook
- Now I'm going to use some Twitter
- Some Whatsapp
- Some Snapchat
- Back to Facebook: it's got to reload again (Facebook logo for a few seconds before I can use the app again) *damn it*
- Back to Twitter: it's got to reload again *damn it*
- etc.

These are just a few examples. It's not something that is 'immediate'. E.g. I can open Facebook, than Whatsapp, than Snapchat and than Facebook again in just a few seconds and multitasking is doing just fine. But if I use all these apps for a few minutes before switching back, they all have to load from scratch.

Apparently, it's not an issue for everyone, but for me it is. And what is even worse, in my opinion, is that the now nearly 3 year old iPhone 5 does a better job at multitasking.

this update is worthless without whiney posts that say "omg 8.3 killed my battery life!" :D
the period/space bar is a great update for sure.

A hard reset didn't work for me immediately, but the issue appears to have resolved itself after a few tries and some patience. Did not have to remove the public beta profile.

Just updated......I can't find the setting to turn off passwords for free apps anywhere

Downloading free apps option not showing up

Anyone else not seeing the new option to force a password for free apps?

They say it's supposed to be in the iTunes & App Store setting called Password Settings.

I don't see it.

Wow, this actually seems like a significant amount of bugs that are finally being addressed. If the rumors of iOS 9 being primarily a bug-fix/performance optimization update are true, then this thing is going to be in pretty good shape. That being said, I've yet to use 8.3. Installing now. Hopefully it works great!

I've never been more happy about such a trivial update: They made the spacebar slightly longer. It's the little things. Although it should have been this way since the iOS 7 beta—which is when I first encountered the issue. I'm not sure how the people working at Apple could have not noticed this problem. It happens to me daily. Luckily Google has become smart enough to ignore the periods for the most part.

I just did the upgrade on my iPad Mini 3 and it is asking me about Apple Pay and switched to the camera to add a card.
