Of course not.... But some things need an OS update and can't be fixed on the server side.

What makes you say "of course not"?

Have their been Music app updates since Apple Music that didn't involve an iOS update? (no)

...and the iOS default apps (like Music) have always required full iOS updates

I don't know if it's a bug or meant to be like that, but question about it all the same.

I have over 7000 songs on my iPhone, loaded physically via iTunes through USB. They appear as Music on the list of things taking up space on my iPhone. When I turned on Apple Music/iCloud Music Library, that space disappeared, and went to "Other". Even after I turned off IML because of all the bugs and problems, that space did not go back to Music, but stayed as Other, which eventually forced me to have to reset my whole phone and start over since overtime I connected it, it didn't recognize the previous music I had transferred and asked me to transfer everything all over again, all the while taking up the physical space anyways, just not letting me do anything about it.

Is this normal, a feature, a bug, or even fixed? I had to reset both iPhone and iPad and start from scratch because the phone would not give up the space. I'm not turning anything else on until I know I can seamlessly turn Apple Music on and off and have the phone recognize the music I physically have in my device as Music, and not something else taking up space.

I bet the bugs I've had since IOS 8.0 / Sept 2014 haven't been fixed yet. But that's ok, just keep fixing the new bugs. Screen orientation working properly on a stock text app I understand is way too much to ask almost a year after release.

I've learned to like the freezing effect of the stock keyboard as well. I consider it a feature you don't even have to turn on: Auto Pissed Off.

That's because iOS 8 in general is a mess, a complete disaster. Welcome to Tim Cook's Apple.

I haven't seen these issues. Maybe there's a problem with your device. Have you tried all the logical sensible steps to try and resolve it? or are you one of these people that won't bother and just whine?

Does anyone know if this fixes the issue where you hit "Make Available Offline" for the entire album and then it does nothing? So the only way to make the album offline is to go to each individual song and make that song available offline...
I just set a playlist to offline and none of the songs in the playlist downloaded. It's still a joke apparently.

I also attempted to create a new playlist from an album I found in the For You section and it still only lets me add it to a playlist that was already created. Amazes me that Apple can continue to get the simple things so hilariously wrong.

just updated, still got the annoying bug of duplicate albums artwork

Works fine here on my devices.....

Seems to be fixed.

EDIT: I was wrong, the lag is still there
What a f****** joke. I swear Apple QA doesn't give two turds about a stable iOS on iPad. I know things are never perfect but things that are so obvious like your latest iPad taking 3 seconds to wake up and other glitches might make them go.....wonder if we should fix this. Nope!

Makes me wonder with all the NEW features coming to iPad in iOS 9 how many bugs are going to come along with it. I no longer trust Apple saying iOS 9 will be full of performance and stability on stage at WWDC. They simply don't have the same software standards they used to. Anyone who disagrees has their head in the sand.

Easy with the assumptive snide personal comments Mr. Smartguy. I've tried the basics, and it is one of the first batch (I assume so, purchased Sept last year, to answer your question....so it could have some initial batch troubles). It needs a genius bar appointment to rule out some other possible issues. Point being...the issues have been there since day one. And multiple people have reported orientation problems over the course of IOS8. I'm by no means the only one. I normally don't complain either...3 IPhones and pretty much zero trouble until this last one. But 11 months in, they either need to fix it software wise, or if it's an internally known problem caused by something else they need to speak up.

So pretty much if you don't use Apple Music you can skip this update. Cool. Don't need to waste my time with an update that doesn't pertain to me.

Yeah, no thanks. Going to let Apple Music mature like Apple Maps (which still isn't on par with Google Maps) before leaving Spotify's slick app.

It's so ignorant, that on their flagship tablet product they have this slow wake glitch.

I must have sent a half dozen bug reports on this issue. Instead of worrying about patching a jailbreak, they should fix crap like this bug and others.

So far, upon initial testing, all the issues with the iPad Air 2 seem to be corrected. In my first 10 minutes of testing, slow to wake from home button, rotation issues, and issues with 5 finger pinch gesture seem to be fixed. I hope this holds.

EDIT: Nope. All these bugs are still there.

Not having any of those problems here. Guess I'll skip this and my next update will be a clean install of iOS 9 :D

Does this fix the issue where playlists take multiple tries to download for offline use, and when they eventually do, the device randomly decides to delete it?
