I sure hope that we get the ability to hide the oversized playlist name at the top of every playlist (the one that shows at least four micro-sized album covers squished together). It takes up so much space, even on an iPhone 6 Plus. Plus the ability to change the background color of playlists. Some of them are hard to read a a result.

It fixed the status bar bug where it would flash big for a second when going from the lock screen to the home screen.

So far, upon initial testing, all the issues with the iPad Air 2 seem to be corrected. In my first 10 minutes of testing, slow to wake from home button, rotation issues, and issues with 5 finger pinch gesture seem to be fixed. I hope this holds.
I spoke too soon. slow to wake and all the other issues are still present on the iPad Air 2. Damn, Apple. Reminding me of the old MS...Seriously thinking of jumping ship to a Surface/Pro

I just want to be able to quickly to get the the album or artist of the song that is playing. Is that too much to ask? :(

The new iTunes shows me the artist and song playing on Beats 1.

It doesn't show it on iOS unless you click the beats 01 logo, then it's at the bottom of the screen. Weird.

Lost all cell connectivity after updating. Did a hard reset and it came back. Weird.

i still think that the apple music integration into a user's library is so totally screwed up.
I have albums that are now truncated, half of the songs are now organized under a different name (or different way to spell the name) and half the songs in the name that I had named the album under. then there are songs that are greyed out that i cant delete nor re-download.
this was an album that i downloaded on itunes.

crap.

I think something changed with the EQ. The music in Angry Birds Pop has become unbearably loud, almost completely washing out the sound effects. (iPhone 6+)

So pretty much if you don't use Apple Music you can skip this update. Cool. Don't need to waste my time with an update that doesn't pertain to me.
There are usually more things in updates, like security fixes and potentially some other bug fixes that might not be called out specifically.

I actually like Apple Music. Keep forgetting to cancel Spotify, but haven't used it in about four weeks.
Apple Music is great! I like the music discovery and curated playlists as well as Beats One more than I thought I would, and these are ironically features I thought would be Apple exaggerating their usefuleness to make their service seem more unique...

What I think has been hampering the service, is the app quality. It's annoying, since there is so much potential. At least this update seems to fix the iCloud song library issues, which in turn led to other problems for me, like it silently not adding to "My Music" even if I told it to, while that bug was in effect. So maybe this will be slightly better now. Baby steps...

Is it just me or is there some battery drain going on?
Perhaps the somewhat typical higher battery usage or perhaps some stuck process even that happens to different people after some updates at times?

In my personal experience, iOS 9 beta 5 is more stable than the current release of iOS 8. What does that say about 8? Or 9?
Well, overall it doesn't necessarily say much one way or another as it's essentially a personal anecdotal observation. That said, hopefully it means that Apple meant what it said about focusing more on stability and performance when it comes to iOS 9.
