This "security issue" is akin to calling BURGLERS-R-US and telling them your house is ready to be burglarized, then letting them in by breaking your own lock.

If a user has to install specific software and run it in a specific way to jailbreak their device, I don't call it "patching a security issue", sorry.

Do you even understand how jailbreak exploits work? They do so by EXPLOITING a vulnerability in security to gain root access. If you want more control, go Android.

Got the 16 GB base model for $150 off from an online vender. I couldn't refuse.

Great deal...this particular Ipad will be supported for 5-7 years easily. There is nothing in the store that is using this power: 3 CPU cores, 8 GPU cores, etc.

Well, overall it doesn't necessarily say much one way or another as it's essentially a personal anecdotal observation. That said, hopefully it means that Apple meant what it said about focusing more on stability and performance when it comes to iOS 9.

I'll jump in as well that iOS 9 was a very noticeable improvement over iOS 8.4 when I ran it.

Wonder if the iCloud push bug is fixed I've been annoyingly forcing manual sync for 3 weeks now.

It's so ignorant, that on their flagship tablet product they have this slow wake glitch.

I must have sent a half dozen bug reports on this issue. Instead of worrying about patching a jailbreak, they should fix crap like this bug and others.

Just tried 'wake from sleep' on my Air 2 from the home button, also from the magnetic close/open cover on my case and it is instantaneous. I think it can hardly be a bug if it doesn't affect all users.

I've had the opposite experience on my iPad Air.

Sometimes you tap an app icon and there is an annoying pause before it starts to launch. There are a lot of animation hiccups when moving between apps and to/from the home screen. I haven't seen any serious functionality problems, but cosmetically it rates like arse on my iPad Air. :(

Meanwhile, iOS 8.4 was mostly smooth in all respects (and perfectly smooth on my iPhone 6)

Has anyone figured out how to sync music from iTunes to iPhone the "old way" while using Apple Music? I can't get it to work and it's very frustrating with 17,000 songs in my personal library.

Edit: What I am specifically trying to do is to add and remove music by checking and unchecking music and using the "sync only checked" option. My phone is almost full and I need to remove some music to make room for more.

I actually like Apple Music. Keep forgetting to cancel Spotify, but haven't used it in about four weeks.

I agree. I finally decided to begin my 3-month trial last week and already see why Apple is making such a big deal about Music. I think they might have cracked the whole digital music thing.

My only issue (at the moment) - which I think sits more with iTunes Match than Music - Previous to Music, I had not enabled iTunes Match. So for Music I had Apple look at my library and "do it's thing." Well, 537 live Phish recordings later, Apple took all of those live songs and matched them their studio equivalent, making my live shows these odd compilations of studio recordings. Boo that. I have yet to dig around Apple's forums for hopefully solutions, but while I'm here... Anyone here know how to remedy?

Cheers.

Looks like the 8.4 jailbreak is patched with this version.

This is interesting - looks like rootless in IOS 9 would have stopped the following exploits:

AppleFileConduit
Air Traffic
Backup
IOHIDFamily

While it might be possible to fool the code signing process and have something execute, the rootless protection wouldn't let exploit write or modify system files.

This should be very interesting on how they will get around IOS 9 protections - I wouldn't bet against them.

Apple Music didn't crack ****. They're jumping on to the game late with buggy ass software too early. Google music is the only game in town that got the music streaming service right. It's too bad I'm such a cheap mofo that likes Siri integration with his hardware. Otherwise G music is the king.

They haven't fixed the artwork problem on the iPhone yet?!?! When you turn on iCloud music library it changes artwork on most albums from my original artwork to something it wants. When you play a compilation album the artwork changes for each song?!?! I just want to use the original artwork that came with the cd / MP3 download!!

Been staring at this non updating screen since the update. Toggled IML off and back on and did a power+home restart and still no luck.

I use this all the time and it works.. Are you sure you are not having a local issue?

I was talking about random on all your albums. It works when you select songs then random but if you select albums it will only random a specific album not ALL your albums.

I had a weird thing just now where my screen wouldn't power on. It just stayed black no matter what I tried. And then randomly, after about 45 seconds, it turned on after hitting the power button.
