Sends me to iTunes, iTunes has a pop-up with a button that says "Upgrade", I click on that & it sends me here:http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ where I can download iTunes 12.1.2.

pretty sure iCloud music library is iTunes match. It's suppose to delete all of your music and let you stream it.
when you first set it up you need to get on a computer with your full iTunes library and allow it to "match" your music. Anything you didn't buy in iTunes they already have a copy of becomes available for you to stream, and any music you have in iTunes that is not already available will be uploaded for you to stream/download on your devices.
Yeah let's release a iOS 9 update one week before the launch of Apple Music and not add the new music-app, just let them wait a week or two. ****ing rtards.

It takes some time. I noticed that my iPad is a bit ahead of my iPhone in that regard. Force killing the app and reopening it seemed to have help bring more of the data in.
That's because Spotify's tracks are a victim of the loudness war. It's the same thing I had on Tidal, I had to crank up the volume to get louder audio. Note that I was streaming 320 kbps and not FLAC from Tidal.
I just tried it on my iPad Air 2 and it works fine. I subscribed with my iPhone 5s first.

Did you select Merge or Replace? I merged mine and it still has all of my manually transferred tracks on there.
I think there are still some minor bugs. For example in my music Pink Floyd had some wrong album covers. But it's whatever it works as advertised. Spotify is RIP
wow. all my music is gone, aside from songs purchased off iTunes. all my playlists as well. i assume i will get them back after i sync with iTunes at home, but this is pretty lame. i did not sign up for Apple Music and i am not on Match. i haven't read this whole thread, but i certainly wasn't aware updating to 8.4 would delete my entire library!

I had bass booster on which I just turned off. Spotify is still louder than Apple Music.
Correct. There is no longer a "cover flow" like mode. They removed it. It was like that in the 8.4 beta as well.
