Apple and online, bad combination. Google would have done this with eas.
You're comparing Apples with Oranges. When Google releases an Android update, just a few people here and there update. When Apple release an iOS update, it's downloaded by millions simultaneously. And I'm not even being fanboyishly sarcastic here. iOS 8 runs on my mother-in-law's iPad 2.

Are radio stations working for anyone (other than beats1) ? I'm not getting anything other than an error? Do you have to be a subscriber to get radio stations ?

you have to subscribe was the same for me till i started the free trial now they all work (I'm in the UK).

Why are people assuming they'd need a new Android version to run their music service? It'd be sent out to just about everyone via an update to an app or a new app in the store.

I might be missing something but why is so much missing from the iPad version? On my iPhone it has a "you" section with playlists made for your likes. Why is that not showing in the iPad? Also it shows radio but not apple music...
It was like that for me on my iPad at the beginning. I had to go to the "Music" section in "Settings". There, I turned off "Show Apple Music", killed the Music app and turned "Show Apple Music" on again. Then, the whole streaming-related stuff appeared.

Didn't work for others though. YMMV.

There is a "star", and when you press that, it will give you a "Play more like this" and "Play less like this" option. That's not quite what you are asking for, but at least it sends a message to the curation algorithm. ;)

Thanks, I just created a station based on an artist and see that now. Looks like only the user created stations have that option. The standard ones only have a heart.

I'm not assuming that. All I am saying is that Apple is rolling out one of their most anticipated iOS upgrades ever to a huge number of users - something that Google has never actually done on that scale. I was only arguing against the "Google would have done that flawlessly" statement.

Except Google would have done this better than Apple has because Apple relies on updates to the OS to update their apps. Obviously there would be flaws, but it'd still be better than what we're getting.

I am to assume, then, since there is nothing here nor elsewhere about Apple Music being made available to OS X users, the Music service is for iOS8 users only. Yosemite users are out of luck. Yes?

My goodness, it's coming, give it time...

iTunes official page says that 12.2 is coming soon. It used to be in red letters. Now it is standard black.
