I listen mostly to jazz and classical though.
- On that note, how are you finding Apple Music for classical? I'm a little conflicted...
And did the iOS update also completely mess up your classical album covers?
I have many proper albums that have been assigned generic "Classical in the Movies", "Top 100 Beethoven" covers and the like for inexplicable reasons.

As always with the Music app, 1 step forward, 2 steps back!

  • finally, repeat 1 doesn't reset the shuffly playlist.
  • up next is pretty amazing all things considered

  • no "skip when shuffling"!!!!
  • no way to know how many songs in playlist/next up
  • no way to star shuffling you music collection easily
  • battery status, clock are hidden in a lot of albums
  • no way to delete a song from up next
Which idiotic buffoon gave the go-ahead for the first decision? I probably have 1000+ songs with the "skip when shuffling" option on. iOS 8.4 completely disregards that option and just shuffles everything!

Well, adding Apple Music songs to playlists in iTunes is even more of a mess than on the iPad. Sorry, Apple, I love Apple Music already, but the playlist handling is just effed up. On the iPad, songs that I add keep vanishing from playlists. On iTunes, I have to first save songs to "My Music" before I can add them to a playlist (which should be a one-step operation, as is the case on the iPad). Either way, ultra-inconvenient.

Quickly creating playlists for Apple Music is a fairly important feature. Right now, that just doesn't work.

you have to subscribe was the same for me till i started the free trial now they all work (I'm in the UK).

Maybe it's just me, but maybe a more helpful error message would be useful to us the users, like "Sorry, but that feature is only available with a subscription to Apple Music" rather than just a "cannot start stream, please try later" load of BS. Or, how about not even showing us those stations unless we subscribe? Just seems very......ummmm.....unApple if that's even a word.

Not available for Windows, but i'm finally download it for OS X, but it's slow, really slow.

Any song that i've just added to a playlist automatically shows up in My Music. It's been 1 step process for me unless I'm misunderstanding what you're trying to do. I didn't add to My Music first.

I'm still waiting for the Apple Movie, the next Netflix killer , maybe anytime soon :)

That sucks.
I don't have iOS devices, just my mac. iTunes is not available on updates here yet.
I'm exited to try it out. I think you might be right about the bitrate for most uses.
I do hear a difference, especially when I use external firewire soundcard.
I've used Spotify so Apple Music is probably a step in sound quality.

In iTunes on the Mac?

What is the exact process you follow? I search for a song in "Radio" that is not yet in my music library, and then I want to add it to a playlist. That option doesn't exist though - I have to first add it to "My Music". From there, I can move it into a playlist.

On the iPad, when I find a song, I can immediately move it to a playlist, and it is automatically added to "My Music".

Problems with your house wifi connection seems to the case at first glance. If your mobile connection can see the update, but not your wifi, then something is wrong with your home network connection...

Well I can use the internet on my iPhone and my Mac just fine. I'm not having any issues there.

- I see. I wasn't speaking of the bit rate, though. But yeah, 256 AAC is fine for my uses, too.
Mainly, I'm super annoyed by the album art being messed up right now. 'Cause this is just plain ugly: IMG_5747.PNG

I have family sharing setup, but when my wife goes to her phone it asks for her to sign up, what am I missing

the new music app layout is terrible… I wish you could take put album and artist on the bottom menu again. The my music section is very underwhelming, you can't even see all songs by one artist anymore. Would it kill to allow for the slightest bit of customisation?

I love up next and minimising the player but the rest is a bit meh :/

Downgrading my phone to 8.3 I think.
