According to the completion bar, my iPad Air has downloaded about 30% of iOS 8. However, the time remaining keeps switching between around 30 minutes and 7 hours!

I'm going to wait to update my iPhone 5.

I always update through iTunes, just because it is a lot faster. 5 minutes vs hours for others via the phone update route.

Just done an OTA update on My iPad Mini, all downloaded and seemed to install but when it re-booted I still had 7.1.2 on it - Why??

Just trying the OTA again

Was trying to update through Software Update on the phone but it wasn't even downloading after 30 minutes. I'm throwing it on iTunes now...

iPhone 5 all done. I think this should have been iOS 7.5 though. When I unlocked my phone, nothing looked different. In reality, apart from a few new features, not much has changed. The predictive thing in messaging was annoying. Not sure if that was new or not, but it was on for the first time and I immediately had to turn it off. Too distracting, not to mention taking up space where there is already too little space.

sounds like you need a 6plus lol

"iOS 8 update warning:

Apple is killing iPhotos and along with it any books, albums, or slideshows you created. Not cool.

iPhoto is still working and will remain that way until they release a new photo app next year.

Please don't spread this crap. Research before you regurgitate.

Exactly. See below already. Ugh. Some people.

what does this mean??? will i lose my photos?

See above. OP of the post you replied to doesn't know what he's talking about.

NOT THE iOS VERSION.

Everything you did there is deleted by iOS 8 without any warning.

And you could do stuff there you couldn't do or sync to the Mac version of iPhotos (like journals).

There is no way to get this stuff back.
