After updating to 9.0.1 ( iphone 6) I'm now having an issue of not being able to activate cellular data for apps that had the option deactivated before....

Downloaded 9.01 update and still hasn't helped the issues I'm having with my iPhone 6 128gb. I'm doing a full back up now and am going to do a clean restore/installation. I should note, my iPad Air 2 is having no issues at all and I'm loving iOS9 on it.

My iPhone 6 bugs:

1) iPhone lags and stutters on app flyouts, while typing, multi-tasking, etc.
2) FaceTime starts while making voice calls for no apparent reason.
3) While attempting to purchase apps in the Apps Store it takes several attempts to actually purchase an app. I click get or purchase and the app starts to download then stops and returns to the Get or Purchase button. This happens for updates as well (I update apps manually)
4) Thumb scanner is pretty much useless since the 9.0 update. I have rescanned my thumb multiple times and still have issues with the button recognizing my thumb.

Just a few of my issues in my iPhone 6. Only posting here in the hopes someone from Apple is reading.
You clearly have a defective unit or a corrupted update.

Unfortunately, he is not the only one experiencing these issues. Mine just got restored using iTunes and updated to 9.0.1. It freezes and takes so much time to download and install apps.

My iPhone 6 bugs:

I have the same issues. The apps take so long to download and install. The Touch ID most of the time doesn't work or takes so long to work. Mine is a 6 Plus and I am so annoyed with the freezing/hanging issues. I hope Apple will fix these ASAP.

Issues with iOS 9 have become worse over the past few days.

Unlocking the phone with Touch ID doesn't work about 1/3 of the time, quick reply on text messages is very laggy (can type about 5 words prior to seeing any keys "click" or text appear), opening camera takes about 10 seconds when opened for the first time, and phone routinely freezes for a few seconds (about 3-5) when unlocked. I would mention the screen orientation being incorrect way too often (until a very awkward and abrupt 90 degree rotation is done) but that happened in iOS 8 too.

Wish there was a way to go back to iOS 8. Oh well, guess I will get used to the annoyances of this OS and hope for some good upgrades rolling out soon.

I forgot to mention, I have always enjoyed and bragged about the great battery life of the 6+. The new iOS has hurt my battery life quite a bit. I've had two days where my battery died by 6 or 7 pm. That had never happened before.

Anyone else experiencing some of these issues?

As far as I can recall iOS 8.4.1 is still being signed and you can downgrade if you want.

It's not supposed to take a fraction of a second longer. It's supposed to take a fraction of a second shorter. They introduced iOS 9 as a refinement release to improve performance, why should we accept slower phones? I'm staying right where I am on 8.4.1. You shouldn't promise one thing, and deliver another.

Straight from Apple's website:
Engineered to perform. At every level.
Under-the-hood refinements bring you more responsive performance, easier updates, better battery life, and tighter security. So your device works that much better — for everything you do with it.

Yes. That's true. Apple is being dishonest about the load time for apps in the x.0 version of their OS. But thankfully, this will improve with bug fix updates and there a lot of other features they have introduced that contribute to the user experience.

But you're right. If the most important thing is what is supposed to happen with updates and delivering what is promised with the initial release, then you have been had.

Thankfully, I think the benefits of the new features of this version of iOS 9 outweigh the slight delay in animations and app opening.

Every single time there is a upgrade someone complains about that, the reason is almost always the same.

It is usually is:
- Due to changes in settings (and how apps react to them); background refresh being often to blame
- New services/animations that are on which have an impact
- Spotlight doing a reindexing
- Apps upgrades all coming in at the same time (if auto update is on), etc.

Go in Settings you can look at the battery usage of everything to see which is to blame, otherwise downgrade to 8.4.1 until 9.1 comes in. Many people are using 9.1 beta and it is supposedly smoother than 9. Dev on the 9.0 brand had to be stopped a while back because the phone that got manufactured and shipped had to have this version on it. Thats why certain bugs in 9 get fixed in 9.1.

Do you have somethiing going in the background. Check you battery use in settings to see if thats the case.

Keira it wil be the same over and over again....
When 7.0 came out, people complained and was looking for 7.1 ... Same for iOS 8 ... And will be the same with iOS 10
People always complains about the same things: battery life, lags...
There will be the people saying "iOS 9 was much better" as soon as iOS 10 will be released.

Nothing. Background app refresh is turned off as well as WiFi assist. Even my friends are experiencing the same issue with app installation. Takes so long.

Yes, there will be. But that doesn't mean that it won't be true. (for those people at least)

Clearly some of the complaints have merit, otherwise there would be no 9.0.1, 9.1, etc.

My issue regarding zoom in accessibility using three finger gesture still exists... Lagging a lot and sometimes doesn't work. I use this every day for my daily task. Since visual impaired. Have tried to install iOS 9.1 public beta 2 but problem is still there :(

I can attest to app installation/updates taking a long time. It took me two tries updating Weather Bug. Battery life is horrible too even in Low Battery Mode and with everything turned off.
