Americans they complain about everything
Apple users they complain about everything

Fixed for you

I'm using AirPlay right now on my 9.0.1 6 Plus to listen to music.
Me too.
AirPlay working flawlessly for me.

my 6 Plus just can't handle iOS 9 - anyone else?

first i updated to 9 OTA; the screen wouldn't accept any touch input and it would freeze completely from time to time. then i did a Reset All Settings, and the phone got stuck at one of the loading screens.

i then DFU'd and did a clean install of iOS 9 - same symptoms after that. now i'm back to iOS8.

did 9.0.1 fix anything for 6 Plus users?

Do you realize your iPhone could be broken ?
That's not normal, especially after a clean install.

4] I hope it fixed [problem]

Thanks for the laugh this morning. This put a smile on my face
Count me in as number 1.....:D

these software updates are becoming joke; why release two weeks back 9.0 if the 9.0.1 is coming out soon?

soon there will be 9.1

Most likely because they wanted/needed 9.0 to roll out with the new phones. The fixes in 9.01 were in all likelihood known and already in the QA stream behind 9.0. To include them in 9.0 would have required timely regression testing and delayed 9.0 from being delivered on their schedule.

Seems to me to be a reasonable and good deployment decision.

Obviously the BETA program doesn't work if the company has to release a bug update not even two weeks later.

Mac rumors forum .... You'll find people complaining about everything here

Funny, I see it as the opposite. There's a lot of people on these forums praising iOS 9's speed, which makes me scratch my head. Do people not notice the difference in their device, or do they simply want to pretend that Apple's software is an improvement in speed?

I did some pretty hefty testing on my iPhone 6 to determine if I wanted to upgrade. I tried the GM / Public Release / Beta 1 and reverted back to 8.4.1 due to lag. The stories of "no lag on my iPhone 6" on these forums, lead me to believe that everyone here drinks from the same Apple Kool Aid container.

Fast updates like this is why I'm switching to Apple after being on Android for so many years. I loved android kit Kat. My g3 updated to lollipop 5.0 and it sucked so bad I had to downgrade to 4.4 kit Kat. Took a while after Google put lollipop on the nexus line before my g3 received the update so they had time to work stuff out but I think 5.0 was doomed to begin with. 5.1.1 on my current lg g flex 2 is pretty good. Nothing really to complain about but I doubt it will get 6.0 marshmallow. Timely updates to me are the most important and I know I could switch to the nexus line but I'm afraid 6.0 will stink like 5.0 and we'll have to wait until 6.1 to iron things and who knows how long that would take. The iPhone has better hardware and implementation than the nexus line and I don't want to compromise. I was debating between the 6s plus and the s6 edge plus but with Samsungs history it will be a year before it gets 6.0. Never thought I would feel this way but I'm fed up. /end rant.

This is the reason why I don't ever want to try Android. I heard about a big memory leak in 5.0.0, which was addressed in I believe 5.1.0, but so many of the devices running 5.0.0 never did/would get the update so you're stuck with what it was shipped with. Never understood why you had to wait for your carrier to approve and send the update, which takes months or never even happens.

On my work cell 9.0 broke my "work Connect" through BES 12 and to date, our IT dept is waiting for Blackberry BES team to create a patch or work around. Any chance this update might address this issue.

Reasonable and good to roll out a "broken" software to 500 million IOS devices?
Nothing broken here... My devices run great.

No lag on my iPhone... And that kind of "speed test " are useless

Any chance this is Apple's problem rather than Blackberry's? No? Ok, then.

Why Apple would be responsible for $RANDOM_THIRD_PARTY software, when there was beta software available for that developer to test with for months, I have no idea. Why YOU would update a device without testing what is apparently an important piece of productivity software, I have no idea.

How do iCloud backups work? Will users who update to 9.0.1 have issues restoring the latest backup onto their new 6S which presumably shipped with 9.0? I'm assuming I'll have to set up as new phone, update to 9.0.1, and then erase all content and settings to restore from my 9.0.1 backup. I hope I'm wrong though, that wastes a good amount of time!

They need to fix several things, instead of hearing siri, I just hear like a toolbox is rolling down a mountain, no voice commands at all. When I try to select text, the menu to either copy, paste, etc will not show up. When you switch between screen modes, the background flips in all directions and does not keep up with the rotations of the UI. Just bugs, bugs everywhere....

Apple today released iOS 9.0.1, a minor update that introduces several bug fixes for iOS 9. The iOS 9.0.1 update comes just one week after iOS 9 was released to the public on September 16.

iOS 9.0.1 is available to all iOS 9 users as an over-the-air update.

iOS 9.0.1 is a minor update that introduces bug fixes and performance enhancements to iOS 9. iOS 9 is Apple's latest operating system, which focuses on proactivity and intelligence with updates to Siri and Search. It also includes a split-screen multitasking feature for the iPad and updates to several Apple-branded apps.

Today's iOS 9.0.1 release precedes iOS 9.1, which will mark the first significant update to iOS 9. iOS 9.1 includes new emoji and settings for acclimating the "Hey Siri" activation feature to an individual user's voice.

Has anyone noticed today that texts, don't know about phone calls, but texts are silent in the lock screen?

I continue to love my iPhone and iPad, but I have always hated the arrogant attitude of Apple, especially the folks at their stores who love to bash Microsoft saying Microsoft's software sucks, is full of security holes, and is in a constant state of software updates.

Well, here we go again, Apple releases IOS 9 and a week later we have an update with numerous bug fixes. We saw this same update issue repeat with IOS 8. If Apple does such a good job with quality control, they should not have to update an operating system with multiple software fixes only a week after release.
