I was holding onto iOS 8.4.1 until the initial first patch went through for iOS 9. Something I usually do with most major software updates. Can anyone tell me if there were any major issues that this update addresses? I'm deciding whether I should upgrade or wait till iOS 9.1.
How many updates have there been since that were just fine? If anything it makes it less likely a snafu like that would happen again.
Glad I haven't updated my iPod touch to iOS 9 yet, might as well get all the minor updates at once in a week or so.![]()
makes sense, looking at the items. looks high priority items.Because they are fixing some issues that came up or became more of a priority since the 9.0 release.
I'm seeing the reality that out of dozens and dozens of updates there was an issue with about a couple of them over the years. So probability is there but rather low. Nothing wrong with waiting a bit to see what s going on, but that doesn't mean it's somehow likely that there would be something.Hah! I take it that you aren't seeing the downward trend in Apple's QA ability? From now on I'll wait a day or two for user reviews before I install an iOS update again.
Is this the fastest .0.1 release ever?
Not everything that's updated is always listed in high level public release notes. But sure you can decide to update or not, as always.makes sense, looking at the items. looks high priority items.
I do not need update or most customers do not need to update.
Someone tell me that it's significantly smoother on the 5s before I upgrade!
Does this happen with a phone that has a fresh new install of iOS 9 or one that had 9.0 beta (or GM) on it before?I hope this fixes the clock skew problem some people are having. At least one app had to suspend its services because of random clock skew across their iOS 9 using players.

It still amazes me how stuff like this can make it to release, especially when you have such a larger beta testing pool than before. And I know for a fact people reported this.
My phone is 80 seconds fast!
these software updates are becoming joke; why release two weeks back 9.0 if the 9.0.1 is coming out soon?
soon there will be 9.1

Wondering if this patch will help the lag on iPhone 6 and 6+
Not necessarily. Some beta corruption issues can carry on without a fresh installation. It had the beta on it before. But that shouldn't matter?
Are you finding 9.0 not smooth?
Seems like something's going on with the App Store today even with 9.0 (if not earlier iOS versions as well).I installed 9.0.1, and it seems to have removed all of the app updates that I've installed over the past week. I now have 20 pending app updates, dating back to September 15. And I'm absolutely sure that I installed all of them previously.
