I'm getting app updates for things I've uninstalled as well. Something is definitely amiss today.

Wondering if this will fix the lag on the 6 Plus.

Why would they? Slowing down performance and battery are part of Apple's planned obsolescence scheme to make you upgrade.
One month and you'll have forget about it because they didn't fix it, a few updates later and you're iPhone 6 is even slower etc...you're fault.

So all 6S and 6S+ phones will need an update right out of the box that have left the factory already. :)

Why the hell does it need at least 50% battery to install? It can't take that long to install as the download only took a few seconds.

I just hope it fixes the bug which means it now takes hours (and I do mean hours) to download magazines to Newsstand. This is very annoying.

They're most likely giving themselves a large margin of error, as the effects of a failed install due to power loss could theoretically brick the device.

Need? No. But you have to pick some number otherwise you will have the stupids endlessly whining about how they killed their phone trying to install system software with 1% battery. Setting it to 50% is a nice easy target.

Come on... you're not a 'l33t. Right? You can wait until you charge the phone to install a point update.

I installed it. Went without a hitch.
Then I went to the App store and tapped "Update", I now have 20 updates. For some reason apps installed/updated in the last 7 days had to be reinstalled.

Other than that, my phone (iPhone 6+) runs well, no lag. In fact I dare say it runs faster, and uses less battery.

these software updates are becoming joke; why release two weeks back 9.0 if the 9.0.1 is coming out soon?

soon there will be 9.1

Well I for one was one of those iPad users on older software (7.1.1) that ended up with the Install bricked on Slide to Swipe. Thankfully had other devices I could use but my iPad is really my go to device so not a happy camper on that end.

Had no problems however with upgrading to 9 on my iPhone 6+ though.

Does this fix downloading apps from the App Store? I tap on update and nothing happens, have to stop and restart multiple times before download starts.

This was happening to me - I put my finger in the fingerprint reader and they started to upgrade or download appropriately - so weird. I wonder if there is a non-visible prompt.

I wish I wouldn't have to jump through hoops to kill the annoying GAME CENTER pop ups.

What hoops? It pops, you banish it, you don't see it again for that app.

I admit, I don't understand why Apple continues with Game Center, but if you don't just ignore it and it goes away, you're doing something wrong.
