So... if I send a middle-finger iMessage... must the recipient have iOS 9.1 / OS X10.11.1 installed? :D

Anyone know how you can update to 9.1 if you have already downloaded the beta? I just want the official one now

EDIT: Nevermind! It just requested itself to be downloaded!
I was wondering about that, too. But my iPhone keeps suggesting downloading the iOS 9.1 beta 5 ... did you unenroll?

Nevermind, now it shows iOS 9.1 for me as well... :)

I wish they'd do more productive stuff than more EMOJI.

Well they did say iOS 9 and its iterations were to be more about improving everything that is "under the hood" than anything else. You'll have to wait until iOS X(or whatever they'll call it) before you see some cool stuff.

Update iPhone A, backup to icloud or computer. Then setup iPhone B as a new phone no iTunes account, and update to newest iOS. Then reset and erase all on iPhone B and restore from icloud or computer.

Just did the same thing yesterday for my 6S

Many thanks. I agree, it seems like the safest route albeit the slowest. Upgrading from 9.0.2 with all the stuff is going to take a while. At least I'm backing up to a MBP, not to iCloud.

Yes. Everyone has to be on the latest version to see it, otherwise it's just a grey alien in a box.

Any news on the POP email screwup from 9.0-9.0.2? It used to be easy to find what's in a new release on Apple's web site but they seem to have dumbed it down as well.... *sigh*

Yes.

I sent the "live long and prosper" emoji that was supported in 8.3+ to a friend that hadn't updated. He got the "undefined character" (a rectangle with a circle and X in it, I think) -- and asked me if I was "butt-texting".

Russian Siri was right! :O

To quickly get the update, I turned off wifi, made sure i had decent signal with lte on verizon, put phone on airplane mode for 10 seconds and then turned it off and i had the update, after going into software update.
