They've made it easier to like and dislike articles in the News app and I kinda like Top Stories (although they're pretty much all political even though I don't follow political channels) but there still needs to be a way to 'cap' the amount of stories that are fetched. I don't want a limitless list of stories and I don't really want anything older than about 12 hours. You should be able to set fetch caps based on those things.

I get UI lag when scrolling the homescreen from the last page to the first by pressing the home button but that's the only noticeable lag I have. Was there in 9.2 and still there in 9.3. 6S Plus too so I hate to think what the 6 Plus is like.
Same on iphone 6 .. Why Apple .. Why..

Ooh snap! This update bricked my iP6+.

I have never jailbroken it. I have never had it repaired (nor has it needed repair). It's a well cared for, plain-vanilla iP6+ and has only ever had just a minimal of apps install via the Apple App Store.

After the iOS 9.3 install it said a new carrier profile was available and asked if I wanted to install that too. I said yes. (I'm on Sprint.) In settings I see that the VPN turns on for about 5 seconds and then off for 5 seconds and repeats.

Now I can't connect to the internet via any app. No internet means no Apple ID server. No Apple ID server means no iCloud. No iCloud means no way to turn off Find My iPhone. No way to turn off Find My iPhone means no way to restore the backup.

Of course, this also means that my Apple Watch is bricked too.

You're broadening the scope of my expectation. Just saying.

The nature of Night Shift is not a new thing.. the branding is.

You don't need new hardware for colour temperature changes. This has been done on displays of all sorts forever.

Encumbering Night Shift exclusively in 64bit code is a choice, not a necessity, as f.lux has already demonstrated on models even older than the iPhone 5.

Anyway, I don't see this going anywhere.. it is what it is. For those of you within the Apple-approved iPhone versions, enjoy the potential health benefits of Night Shift. My iPhone 5 should be good for another couple years, provided Apple doesn't slow it like the 3G, and I'll catch it on the 7s or so.

Well it makes sense if you consider that this limitation is a clear indication that night shift is a system service running on top of everything else, rather than added code in the existing display pipeline code. Apparently new daemons/services are being developed in 64-bit only. That's another reason why it's blocked by low battery mode: run as few services as possible.

What's the discrepancy in the download sizes? I had 1.5GB on a 6s, others had around 300mb for the same device. (OTA update)

Upgrading from a beta vs 9.2?

My OTA upgrade was about 300+ MB, from 9.2. I don't run official betas (just the ones Apple releases as non-beta final versions, grrr... text selection is still crap in Safari, despite reporting this and various people posting about it on the web).

Activation was sluggish but worked after a few minutes. Did it around 4:30pm EST Monday.

As ever, I strongly recommend waiting three days before updating to the latest iOS.

No need to be the Guinea pig for show-stopping bugs like no cellular reception.
Do whatever you want: I'm enjoying iOS 9.3 right now.

why in the world would night shift turn off in low power mode?
Maybe Low Power Mode just cuts out every unnecessary task

For some reason, this update still does not show up for my 5S, 6S, 6S+ and 6+. I've restarted iTunes. I've probably connected each of the phones at least ten times.

I'm guessing this has been discussed in the beta threads, but I've noticed there's artist names under the tracks names now. Or am I blind?

SoftBank in JP did the ages ago and I was totally confused at first. One less character?
You mean this was due to a carrier update? Nah, I don't believe my carrier pushed an update 10 minutes after 9.3 was released, it is too good to be true..

I understand it is possible but as others have mentioned, that feature was coded for current 64 bit units not depreciated 32 bit devices. Its actually nice that Apple even still lets older devices get any of the new updates on 4 generation and older devices. So expecting old devices to have the full functionality of the current line is not a reality. They could stop support on those at maybe 2 iOS revisions later.

  • Fixes an issue where an inaccurate battery percentage could be displayed
still I have this problem.. iphone 6 9.3 .. someone can help me ?

What exact problem are you seeing in relation to that?

“When I charge the phone, it gets stuck for hours to the same percentage or charges very very slow. When I reboot the phone suddenly it shows me 100%. I really hope Apple has a fix for this bug.” User complaint

that's my problem from 9.2.1..

This is not "bricked", I wish someone would use the term only when it's actually the case.

Probably means the phone as lost track of its battery. It's normal that a phone charges faster when in the middle (20-80%) and less when near the end. Charging fast when the battery is almost full damages the battery (that's why it slows down); but if it thinks it's close to 100% when it is not, the slow charging could occur too early.

Betas do full updates. I only had 183MB on an Ipad 2 with 9.2.1

3D touch will not work on the stock weather app. Was this dropped in the public release of 9.3?

Never mind - opened the app and closed it. Then tried 3D touch and it worked.

Well I have noticed a lot more functionality with the new update- although it's ever so slight with most apps. I haven't noticed the 4g issue as of now.

but.. 2hrs + to get 100% i think it's too much.

Perhaps you aren't actually on LTE? What carriers would this be for?
CYTA. They introduced it suddenly at the 2nd of November. And they stated later it was LTE at the press releases. Although when you were selecting it iOS said "This carrier was not certified for an LTE network" But I was be able to access it.
