Were you able to activate through iTunes ?
I haven't dared to update my rMBP after this... Is it working fine for you?
Were you able to activate through iTunes ?
Always do a back up before updating. That is all.Just updated my iPad Air via iTunes, albeit with a minor incident.
After the payload had been delivered to the iPad, iTunes bounced its icon and threw up a dialog that said "iPad could not be updated, because an appropriate response has not been received" or something to that effect. The progress bar on the iPad screen was paused, with a small bit of white.
Is that the activation error some are referring to?
After a brief panic, I checked the updater logs, which said the restore was finished and successful, which put my mind at ease. After a minute or so, the progress bar started to move, and finished the update process.
I've seen glitches like this before, where iTunes throws up a false(?) error dialog but updates complete successfully.
Apple really needs to do something about iTunes.
44 minutes to go ....
My iPhone 6 , iPad Mini 3 and Watch are fine . Great update. I love the possibility to lock notes and night shift . I have installed F.lux on my MBP . Not pretty but good for the eyes ;-)
Heck, is it taking that long...?
Apple hasn't really made a new 32-bit device in quite a while, and has been shifting to being on 64-bit for hardware and software for some time now. Why would it be ridiculous to use the latest technology that has been in the process of being phased in for years now to develop new features? Seems like fairly normal technological progression.I saw that. And if anything, it supports what I said. Ridiculous.
Yup ! It always does even though I have fast WiFi . I could kick myself for not waiting until tomorrow ..
OK, my wife's iPhone could be activated through iTunes. Husfriden återställd, puh. iPad still refuses.
Full update vs. delta update. What's the discrepancy in the download sizes? I had 1.5GB on a 6s, others had around 300mb for the same device. (OTA update)
Upgrading from a beta vs 9.2?
You can already do this with ITunes and smart playlists.I really want them to give us the ability to make a playlist from "hearted" music. Man that would be awesome.
Interesting find. I typically close all apps prior to updating iOS (most times I reboot device as well) never seem to have any issues with OTA updates that way. Maybe coincidence but its easy enough to do and I have had good results doing that since iOS 5.0.You have to open the app and then force close it. After you do that the 3D touch options show up when you press on the app icon.

My 6s was 1.5gb OTA coming from beta 7. Wifes iPhone 6 was 300mb coming from 9.2.1. Guess beta needed the full package.Full update vs. delta update.
Seems that thinking a 4 generation back device would have the same features as the current ones may be considered ridiculous. Just saying.I saw that. And if anything, it supports what I said. Ridiculous.
Was looking forward to night shift since it was first being reported despite the demented(?) decision to disable it in low power mode. It was the first and only thing in 9.3 that I looked for right after the update and couldn't find. Then I found the compatibility list here. I have an iPhone 5.
f.lux iOS (not allowed in store) doesn't seem to have this limitation, so I assume that Apple is still actively promoting unnecessary, wasteful, and (to many) financially foolish hardware updates with intentional but unnecessary software limitations. It's as though they're saying "Look at this cool feature.. we could make it work for you but feel that it's in our better interests if you update your phone regularly. Please don't evade our marketing decisions by jailbreaking." Reminds me of not supporting native res on the first rMBP despite having a number of scaling options, requiring a 3rd party hack or Windows in bootcamp to get the most out of the display. Who'da thought I'd need to turn to Microsoft to make Apple hardware shine. Why Apple seems to feel the need to cripple their hardware in various ways is still beyond me.
Apple's implementation is 64-bit.
iPhone 6 Plus users how is the performance now? I'm still on 8.4.1 because I couldn't stand the UI lag in 9.x
Always do a back up before updating. That is all.
