they should split apple inc into smaller companies and close the mall retail stores

Close the stores?! Why? I think those are needed. I wouldn’t want to send my device in if there was something wrong. Plus they have a better selection of watchbands there than a Target or Best Buy.

But I do agree that the company should probably be broken up as there just is no focus. It seems that they just dabble here, dabble there, but with divided attentions they never flesh things out all the way and are letting the competition get ahead of them. Look at how inferior Siri is for example. Or think about how much better the Apple TV could be. Or the products they either got out of or don’t make. Why not an Apple home security system? Why not an Apple doorbell cam? Why not an Apple smart thermostat and smoke alarms? Why no more Apple routers? Instead they ignore those things to focus on....cars?

All those many people under the roof of their campus, and yet they release incomplete software, and incomplete products. I don’t get it.

Guys, can anyone confirm if the mail issue where new mail only downloads once you open the app has been fixed? I have a mac email and am still not seeing new mail when I open the app. I have to wait a few seconds for the mail to download.

Guys, since this update my Reminders are no longer syncing between my iPhone and Mac running El Capitan 10.11.6. It used to be dodgy to start with, but since this new iOS update it isn't working at all.

I had some overdue reminders, which I changed the dates for on my Mac so they were no longer overdue. However, these changes do not sync with my iPhone.

Any suggestions please (other than updating El Capitan, which isn't an option due to age of my Mac 😅)?

I read through all of the comments and didn't see anybody reporting the pretty major issue I've been having with keyboards since updating to 13.3. Everything had been fine up to 13.3 Public Beta 4, but now on 13.3 release, the iOS keyboard has lost the ability to slide type and there are no autocorrect suggestions at all. In addition, Gboard will crash and revert back to the iOS keyboard after about 1 second. Every. Single. Time. I've reported the issues in Feedback, so we'll see if they get fixed.

I'm on an iPhone 8 Plus (Verizon, 64GB), if it matters...

OK, following up on my own post... Deleted Gboard and the iOS keyboard suddenly works fine again (slide typing, autocorrect suggestions, etc.). Going to try reinstalling Gboard and see if everything gets screwed up again. If so, I know which tree I should be barking up instead of Apple's! :)

Aaaand reinstalling Gboard fixed whatever the problem was. So if you're having strange keyboard issues after the 13.3 update and use Gboard, try deleting and reinstalling it. You'll lose any custom themes, but that's about it. And your custom dictionary, I suppose, but it's worth it to get it working again.

My older iOS devices can install 12.4.4 but my newer devices can't. I'm stuck on 12.4.1. And no, I'm not installing iOS 13.

I was hoping 12.4.4 would fix their buggy iCloud backup problem. I'm always getting the message it can backup because of poor network condition. Even on my 30Mbps xfinity connection. Doesn't even work when I'm connected to my iPhone hotspot. Seems to only work on some home WiFi connections. I did a complete reset and install and problem wasn't fixed so I know it's not me.

Guys, I've noticed another glitch. If I receive an email and delete it on my Mac, the email remains active on my notification screen on the iPhone until I delete that email on the phone itself. That can't be correct, can it?

Also, the Reminders glitch is driving me round the bend on my El Capitan/ iOS 13.3. It is all over the place.

Is it only developers who can report bugs to Apple? If not, how do I report a bug?

Thanks umzyi. Alas. Seems this is the case all over with Apple these days

Installed 12.4.4 on my iPhone 6 and I normally leave my iPhone off overnight. I turned on my device this morning and it seemed to boot up very fast. I thought I was just imagining this.

So I did a test. Turned my iPhone 6 off and on my iPhone 7+ started the stop watch as soon as I saw the Apple logo. 25 seconds! That's like twice as fast! Did the same test on my iPhone 7+ and it was 38 seconds.
Now my iPhone 6 on iOS 12 is faster at booting up than my iPhone 7+ running iOS 12. Crazy.

Too bad they didn't release iOS versions that were universal installer instead of device specific installer. That way I could put the same iOS version on all my devices that support iOS 12.

Even though El Capitan is the last officially supported version, it’s trivial to update your iMac to a newer version like High Sierra using dosdude1’s patcher. You could even put it on Catalina if you want but I think High Sierra is the best for iMacs due to graphics issues. I’ve got a couple older Macs running without problems.

You turn your phone off every night? That's odd. Why? If it's to have peace and quiet, just toggle Airplane Mode on. Restarting every day is harder on the hardware than just leaving it on.

It’s probably what we used to call in our IT department “improper or unnecessary use of voodoo” lol. A user does something weird and subsequently (and unrelatedly) a problem goes away. So they continue doing it.

My dad thinks when he calls someone, he has to be talking into the phone while it’s ringing, otherwise his call will go to voicemail. I’ve tried to tell him that’s not how it works, and he said that’s how his phone works. To prove it, he called my sister and didn’t say anything while it was ringing, and it went to voicemail (she had left her cellphone in her car btw). Now he’s not just 100% convinced, he’s 1,000,000% convinced 😂

What's going on with iOS 13.3 update install message. I've gotten two alerts in less than 10 minutes. I've already deleted the installer in Usage a few days ago when I was on WiFi. Apple is trying to get me to accidentally install this update. A little difficult for them to do since I don't have WiFi but only cellular where I live.
