😅 8 years on, and it'll still receive security updates for years to come.

The majority of apps will still work just fine, unless there is some OS specific feature updates, just as they still do even with iOS12.

The Weather app is literally the thing I'm most excited about in iPadOS 16. Really like the iPhone Weather app, and it's been an embarrassment that the weather widget just took you to weather.com.

The iPadOS 16.1 update Apple's can be downloaded on eligible iPhones over-the-air by going to Settings > General > Software Update. It can take a few minutes for the updates to propagate to all users due to high demand.

So my iPhone can now run iPad OS neat 😛

I had an iPad Air 2 for years, upgraded to 4th gen last year. It held up quite well... until iOS 13 came out and then it wasn't supported.

You have to enable it in Settings > Home Screen & Multitasking.
