iPhone OS 2.1 Beta 4 just got seeded for the development team.

I'm downloading & restoring it now; I'll post any general news that I can.

And yet again... I have no access to it in my paid iPhone developer connection page.

1. Wouldn't be frowned at, I would be pleased with that :)
2. Doesn't bother me, wouldn't say no but different strokes for different folks.
3. When the guess comes up just tap the spacebar and it will replace it for you. Just like what you want but better :)
4. In iTunes, one of the tabs on your iPhone screen will take you to a screen with the option of Google Calendar sync.

Hope that helps. :)

In response to number 4, I have not seen this yet. Do you have a special version of iTunes??????

I didn't realise people actually USED the contacts app! Why bother having an icon for it when you can just click on the Phone button?

iPod Touch users wouldn't be able to tap the Phone button, right?

Hit the x three times and it will remember that is what you wanted to type. Obviously new to the iPhone are we?[/QUOTE]

That doesn't work for me...

Someone must be.

The three times trick apparently only works if it has the other word you want in its dictionary.

Try typing "htc". It'll always change it to "utc", no matter how many times you hit the X.

Many people would love an OFF switch at least. Or perhaps the autocorrection could be on an app-by-app basis. Or at least the situation:

When I do a Google search, I usually want exactly what I type. OTOH, in a fast text conversation, or I'm one of those kids who type essays just before class, the autocorrection could be handy.

@ FireFish:

Do you notice anything different??? Or just more bug fixes??? Are you getting improved reception???

That's because it's not included with purchased memberships. You can't buy your way onto the program, with all due respect. They select members once in a blue moon. Currently, there's only under 4,000 members worldwide, I hear.

I just got lucky.

They did away with the Apple Push Notification; smart move on their part; they learned the hard way with the MobileMe rollout.

Not sure if anyone can answer this, but in the 2.1 version, has anyone tried Client certificate authentication with Exchange active sync?

It is not working as Apple claims in 2.0.x ...
