Problems with web pages?

Anyone else having problems with some web pages? I used to be able to watch South Park and Family Guy via streaming on a1own.com and now it says that Safari cannot open it. A friend also said he was having problems opening some pics as well. I'm loving 3.0 regardless on my 1st gen. Can't wait until Friday!

I thought shake to shuffle was going to be useful for listening on the go ... but you can't just shake the device in your pocket (maybe they were trying to avoid that) as it requires you to be in the iPod app and the screen to be on - how utterly gimmicky and useless. The shake required is significant enough that walking wouldn't trigger it IMO.

Other new things good so far - bluetooth stereo is nice, but it won't automatically reconnect, and you have to go back into the Bluetooth settings every time :(.

I will agree with the poster talking about Wifi strength decreasing under 3.0

Since I upgraded, I have dropped to 1 bar for almost the last 4-5 hours as before...I am not sure I ever got to 1-2 bars for the past 6 months.

Yeah, shake-to-shuffle is not very useful. Might as well just press shuffle button. I was driving into work and thought I could just shake my iPhone to get it to shuffle but nope had to unlock it, go into iPod. There needs to be a better way - maybe require you to hold the button down and shake? I don't know.

my phone got hung while upgrading

i downloaded 3.0 yesterday... and while trying to upgrade it stuck saying " checking upgraded software" for almost 45 mins.. i then unplugged the usb cable and tried to restore iphone again.. but it again got stuck in " checking restore software "... why is this happening to me ????

2 days back i upgraded the itunes from 7XXX version to 8., the latest one... i upgraded my iphone in the older version of itunes.

please suggest what to do...

Lost Contacts???

I upgraded to 3.0. Tried the free trial of mobileme to test out the "find iphone" function. At one point the phone asked me to "merge contacts". Now I can't find the contacts anywhere...Either on mobileme or on my phone. They just disappeared. Any suggestions?

I downloaded and installed yesterday. It works fine for me! Finally iphone has full Greek language support!

Ευχαριστώ Apple!!

my solution for (-9807) error

i was getting the same error (and pissed off) until i plugged my phone into my old g5. it started right up with 3.0!

good luck!

Still trying to get to the sever (-9807) error, been trying over 9 hours, is this still a problem for people?

Well what you said started me thinking.

What if I made another computer account, and logged out my current account. Then logged back into my computer with my temporary account?..well it worked! I started up itunes on the temp computer account and it activated my iphone.

Thanks for the help :)

No Problems in Iraq...

I am north of Baghdad and downloaded 3.0 fast, maybe 10 minutes. I wonder if Apple has servers in the Middle East?

Even though my phone was unlocked, no problems. They left all media on it, no issues. The one problem though, even though the local carrier here supports MMS, it isn't showing up on my iPhone.

I checked with Apple and they say if the carrier doesn't support MMS, it won't show up under settings. Well, my local carrier DOES support it and it p*sses me off. Oh well, I couldn't expect everything to be perfect, could I? Maybe it is a glitch.

Relax

iTunes keeps a backup every time you sync. Restore from the backup and your lost data should be recovered.

And don't forget to relax.

Too late for this guy, I think his head exploded or something. Funny, I just upgraded and everything is still on MY iPhone, so I am partial to think it is, what do they call it, "user error"?

If you double tap home when it is in sleep it will bring up the iPod controls and let you shake to shuffle. This can be useful! :)

phone signal much worse?

Hmm... After upgrading to 3.0, my phone signal is significantly worse.

AT&T 3G in our area was not that great to begin with, but now my call outs fail most of the time. Also, I'm getting precisely zero calls at home. How is your phone signal experience in US?

well...after having tried to update dozens of times last night, i can now log in to the store, connect to Download page saying my download is happening...about a second of activity, then nothing.

Is this update actually available in the UK? Has anyone here actually managed to install this bloody thing? Looks like I'm s*** out of luck, and £5.99 out of pocket for nothing.

Any ideas as to where i complain to to get this fixed? Apple have taken my money, and now obviously i'm not going to be able to download this, so has anybody any ideas?

I'm guessing that the download is more than 0.4KB, right?
