Apple Releases iPhone OS 3.0

That is what it looks like. It is the same build version 7A341.
 
Everyone running GM this is the same file MD5 Check as the same file so just to let everyone know :) could have had it 5 days early :)
 
9 out of 10 of the posts on this thread are meaningless. So you dL'ed the os, is that in itself info?
 
Facts:

3.0 does not upgrade the baseband on original iPhones
This new download is the same exact version as the GM downloaded last week
There's no need to re-install this update if you have the GM
 
Yeah i just saw it...downloading now with apathy after built up midnight launch excitement that never came. Its the same build/file size as the GM

Yours still works? You lucky dog you. I bought a refurb from ATT and it lasted only about 8 months. Had to buy a 3g, I miss my old phone.
But can't wait to be able to get a 3gs ;)
 
Download speed started off slow and then sped up near the end.

I totally expected the download to get cut-off in the middle. Good on Apple for being prepared.

The new OS is being installed on my 1st gen iPhone right now.....
 
Downloading! It had like 2 minutes left then I got kicked off the network...grrr...starting over now. 7 minutes remaining!

I gave it a negative vote just for ***** and giggles... First time I've rated a topic, actually... This seemed for sure one topic to have >95% approval rating. I'm guessing the others had problems installing?

For the record, I'm dying to get home to install it myself. :p

Anyone got the URL for the Firmware download? My iTunes won't connect through my work proxy.

There is no such thing as a 4MB iPhone.
 
just installed it on my original iPhone...

faster then I thought and was a flawless upgrade.

apps open faster for sure and just exploring what features I will actually get to use on this phone....
