Apple Releases iTunes 10 With 'Ping' Social Networking for Music

my thoughts on this new iTunes 10;
1. PING ... Anyone who uses Facebook which is probably most of you, noticed they introduced Places on iPhone a few weeks back... Totally ripped from the likes of FourSquare etc. Now Apple are doing the same ripping the life out of last.fm and calling it PING... Il look forward to the day social networking is just one company and seamlessly updates everything at once, but until then Il stick with facebook and twitter thanks.
2. The Icon
Fair one to all the people bitching about the new icon, it's new and shiny... just like the rest of Apple products, I remember when the old iTunes icon was green and it changed to blue (not sure which version that was). I wasn't mad keen on that at first but now years down the line it looks fine... its just what people get used too. I give it year and people will be saying 'remember on September 1st when everyone was moaning about the icon'
3. AirPlay
I like the sound of this a lot, imagine hooking all your stereos around your home to play the same song, 10/10 for this one Apple. I will defiantly be looking at some AirPlay enabled speakers when its released.
4. New UI
Well from the handful of screenshots I have seen, Apple has done it once again in getting a clean looking interface and my personal opinion is I actually think the sleek icons in the sidebar work better than the cluttered current ones, im not one to moan about icons though.

You do know it's had this feature for ages now under the name "AirTunes" instead right? I've got 5 rooms in my house all able to play the same song at the same time already. The "new" feature is to be able to play a song or movie already STORED on your iOS device straight to the AirPlay device (presumably without the need for remote/iTunes to be running).

It now shows the iTunes 10 download button, but it still downloads iTunes 9.2.1 (guess it depends on the server you connect to right now.)
