Apple Releases iTunes 10 With 'Ping' Social Networking for Music

It won't open at all for me unless I open it manually through Terminal, this is ******* ridiculous. :mad:
 
They need to allow you to change the Album view from a minimum of 5 songs, to 1, 2, 3, 4, etc...

My library looks incomplete when viewing in Album view because iTunes has it set to show album artwork only if you have 5 songs from an album.

I have a ton of songs from CD's that I only have 1-4 songs for.

Hopefully there is an option that I am overlooking, that someone will be able to point out to me...
 
itunes 10 = fast

ping was great until i couldn't access due to a wappy error D:
Couldn't even purchase the single of the week!

Yes go to view and just do Always Show Artwork
 
Wow, wasn't expecting such a dramatic UI overhaul, even the preference icons are redone.

Not sure how I feel about it yet, but Apple has a tendency of making the content the focus with a UI that gets out of the way.
 
When playing a song, if you click on the album artwork in the lower left corner it opens it up and gives you player controls in the artwork window.
Is that new? Don't remember seeing that before.
 
List of changes I've noticed so far:

Smaller, slightly recolored window controls ("traffic lights")
Monochrome sidebar icons (looks much cleaner IMO)
Recolored scroll bars (lighter than iTunes 9)
New artwork for column headers
New artwork for volume slider
New "frameless" buttons on bottom bar
New checkbox artwork
Redesigned preferences artwork
Album art popout
New "full window" iTunes store option (I think this is new?)
Adjusted spacing and/or font in list view
 
It does seem much snappier. I don't like the icon though. Seriously that's the best they could come up with?
 
Hmm interesting bug. iTunes froze so force quit on relaunching iTunes:

Waiting about a minute resolved this issue.

I never said anything about how I feel about the update, nor did I say people are not allowed to dislike it. There's one hell of a difference between disliking something, and whining about something like a little child because you don't like how the icon looks. And I'd love for you to explain to me how my post in any way had a whiney tone to it. Just stated an observational opinion, one that apparently we're allowed to have, according to you right?

I swear, some of you REALLY need lessons in reading comprehension.
