so your screen shot makes sense (though i wouldnt have designed it like that personally)

It's not the history of songs you purchased, it is the list of items you previewed in the iTunes Store.

The new version doesn't seem to have done a very good job of retaining your prefs from the previous version. I had to turn on Sidebar and Status Bar. Or maybe Apple are just trying to get you to change the way you use iTunes?

I loved PPC as well but it's long gone for Apple now...a great "uniqueness" factor back then, I will give ya that.
AGAIN: In case I do NOT like it, is it just a matter of rolling back to 10.7 via TM or is some tinkering necessary?
I'm one of those people who isn't happy with 44.1kHz, 16 bit CD quality, let alone lossy codecs.
If Apple ever gets around to selling 48kHz or better 24 bit files and doesn't try and gouge the customer for the privilege, I'll be first in line.

Don't worry. iTunes 11.0.1 should recognize all your devices even before you plug them in.

Jony I've was wise to remove it. Now if he can just get around to redesigning that horrible icon.
Nice UI and I got it to show the side bar which I like. Its a bit buggy though. For example when I right click on a song to "Get Info" sometimes it gets the info of the wrong song. Like the song I selected won't show up and it shows a different song. Kinda weird. Still I like it. Almost the same thing as before if you have "show" side bad and other options.
My favorite thing is the Movie section now has a separate section for "Home Movies".

I think apple forgot something.. I can't minimize iTunes when I double click the top bar like on any other window... which is annoying. and I don't like the gradient of the now playing bar. also the shadow they used on the now playing title. makes it look like it's not retina sharp... & not happy with the coloured blue icons in the sidebar... makes it look like its old... grey was more modern.
