what's the difference between iTunes Dj and Genius?
It is, after all, iTunes 11.0![]()
It seems it's still a Carbon-Cocoa hybrid app.
5 minutes in and I absolutely hate it! Its as if its geared toward cloud people. I dont use the cloud, I refuse to use the cloud and I am being punished for it. None of my playlists work, I cant find any of my music, videos are out of order. What the hell did apple do? I have never had a problem like this with any of my previous iTunes updates.
and where is my column browser? I dont want to see screenshots, I dont want to see album covers, I hate cover flow. Under videos under music I cant see artists. I see an image and a song name. No album name, no artist name, no play count, nothing. Why cant I get column browser.
Apple, you really goofed up big time on this one at least to me. Its junk. Anyone know if I can go back?
No, on Windows it's just 11.
The 0 didn't quite make it on the screen either.
Sorry, just seemed appropriate.
It's not showing 64 bit to me.64-bit here. (shudder at that icon)
So is there a reason why they can't do a 64 bit iTunes? Seems this is just another facelift not a rewrite.
can u take a screen shot of how the playlists look? im at work. i cant download the new version yet.![]()
Genius gave you horrible recommendations for stuff that wasnt even related to what you wanted, DJ let you choose what was coming up next.
Finally! Thank God!
EDIT: First impression: It's nice, but ugh, going full-screen in video still blacks out my other monitor.
It's the classic dumbing down of their computer software to match the simplistic dumbed down iOS software.
Not to mention they crippled the ability to have an interactive useful iTunes DJ like component and got rid of the awesome cover flow.
How do you feel about apple now?
Well that is stupid.No. No reason. They DID do a 64 bit version!
The default download is still the 32 bit version.
But you can get the 64 bit one at

It may have not been broken in the meaning of the word, but it's ridiculous to say it wasn't in need of an improvement.
Also, all of you saying iTunes 5 was the best looking iTunes yet. I guarantee if iTunes 11 was exactly like iTunes 5, you'd all still be complaining about how it's not 'new' or what you wanted.
Has anyone figured out how to get list view back, this new way is too confusing/cluttered![]()
