Fortunately????? You didn't have to use it when it was available but I CAN'T use it now. That is just plain selfish of you. You need to think about others who may have liked the feature.

I'm...sorry? I wasn't trying to be rude. I found the feature pointless, that's all. No need to get worked up. :)

1st: i like it. will take some getting used to.

2nd: is there anything new, besides the new look? was hoping for some big new feature, but i guess its just a redesign.

was hoping it would sync the album booklets to the icloud now.

It seems that the AirPlay icon and controls are only available in the mini player view.

Has anybody found a way to access AirPlay controls in the main view?

It is there after all. Turns out my Pioneer receiver just decided to fall off the network. Had to unplug the receiver and plug it back in and now the AirPlay icon is showing up in iTunes 11.

haravikk - I imported a movie and it only shows up in "recently added" not in "movies" or "unwatched". But it plays on my Apple TV's. Bizzare.

The Up Next is probably the main new feature.

Hover the cursor over an active one. try and use it. I liked the look of the old one, but the functionality of the new one is far better.

Okay. I hadn't downloaded it yet. Was just going off the screenshot posted earlier.

To all iTunes DJ lovers out there (I'm one of them), here is my workaround:

Simplified but even more bloated

Only Apple can pull off such a feat of software idiocy

it's great!

No column browser for music (aka list view in tv shows).

BIG SUCK

Come on Apple - we don't want to load the album art for 5000-10000 albums - it takes WAY too long.

Column browser is there. Click Songs tab under Music and go to View > Column Browser

Has anyone else noticed that when you click on the album art, you get a resizable Quicktime-like album cover with player controls on it?

I think that's pretty cool, and should satisfy a lot of people who have been complaining about not being able to view their album art at a larger size.

Why do you hate iTunes 11?

More iOSification crap? Flawed list view? iTMS links?

Simple question, simple answer...thank you.

p.s.: A separate thread was created, why is it here now?

TV show playlist sync

How do you pick play lists to sync to an Apple TV first gen in iTunes 11?

On my iPhone 5 I see how it is supposed to work. Scroll down the list of TV shows and below it is a list of play lists. But on my Apple TV first gen and iPad 3, both of which have existing play lists synced to them, I can't scroll down the list of TV shows, it is stuck on the shows that fit on the screen.

Anybody else seeing this?

Finally

Finally !!:)

And I bet most people actually believed the article about iTunes head back to December...

Still..... WOW...

what the heck happened to this... looks like now a much more easier interface.... I'm already missing the side bar..

No No No No...and no :)

Apple makes things more easy for full screen,, but choose to go all the way, than leave the things in "where it matters"

like the library, previous access too to ALL tabs while staying in any given view..... rather than now, you must Click the right hand "library" button Before you can navigate..... A bad idea... No other way...

Thumbs down here.....

All in all... the old design was better. Give us an option at least to revert to standard old version .. :) That I would have loved to see with any GUI changes.

The beginning of iTunes move to full cloud is upon us. Subscription based model in the works...

Missing the point on DJ...

If you never used iTunes DJ, you don't know why we are all upset. :)

The coolest thing was when you had a party, and your guests could use their iOS devices to 'vote' for the next song. It was one of the coolest things I've been able to do with my Mac, and everyone seemed to get a kick out of it.

Up next does NOT replace DJ (the ability to set the next song was just part of the DJ functionality).

I've also provided music at events where I had a 'dinner' playlist and a 'dance' playlist...iTunes DJ allowed a seemless transition between the 2 (simply by changing the playlist that DJ accessed), and a traveling Air Port Express allowed remote voting for the crowd at the event.

I hate this trend where Apple is removing real functionality for the sake of iOS-like UIs.
