Everyone seems to be having multiple, random problems with it. You'd think someone like me who's running a 4 year old Windows 7 laptop that wasn't a high spec model in the first place would hit problems, but it's been seamless, no problems whatsoever.

the main issue I have is I cannot update apps on my device thru iTunes on the device I can but I tunes doesnot update the app while syncing

Multi Line Comments on a track

Anyone know how mult-iline comments are now entered?

Used to be a large box and Alt-Return gave you a new line

Now you have to:
Select Add Field
Select Comment

and you then get a single line of text.

I've tried most of the combinations of Alt, Command, Option and Return with no success:(

Are anybody else's buttons colored when the graphite option instead of blue is selected in appearance preference pane?

Yes, mine are too. Those brightly coloured traffic lights are the one thing I find annoying about iTunes 12.

One thing that no-one has mentioned is the new 'Recently added' feature which I find really useful. (Or maybe it's not new and was something I needed to activate in iTunes 11)

I often download several CDs at once, then later can't remember all of them. Previously I had to go to Song View and select the 'Date added' column. Now they are all there for me in both Album and Artist view for a configurable period.

You only have to Select Add Field and Select Comments the once and then, from the bottom of that pop-up window select 'Always show current fields' and the comments section will be available for every song.

I haven't worked out how to actively move to a new line of comments, but if you just keep typing, when you get to the end of the line, the text box will expand up to six lines deep.

The other thing that I dislike is the absurd excess of whiteness in the UI and the way I have go from the main window to the MiniPlayer and viceversa. It's completely unintuitive.

But overall, it's not bad.

I have to say that I love all that clean whiteness and I'm not sure what you mean about the mini-player. A single click in the designated places to move from one to the other couldn't really be any easier.

Good spot on always show current fields.

As for proper multi-line comments, I found this in another thread:

"Old Style iTunes Get Info window can be had by holding down the Option Key while right-clicking on a selection to bring up the contextual menu-> Get Info."

You have to hold down Option until the window has opened.

What this allows (using the old window) is any number of lines of variable length by using Option-return to break when you want.

IMHO, current behaviour on not allowing user to decide where to break is bug; sloppy, sloppy bug

Thanks for that.

I use a trackpad and two finger tap to get the option window and your tip works too if I hold down the option key. I don't often use the comments window, but I'll bear this in mind when I do.

Now if only someone could tell me how to turn the coloured traffic lights to Graphite...

Only way I've seen this is to turn whole window/button system to graphite

System Preferences >> General >> select Graphite for Appearance.

Yes, that's how I have the appearance set up, but sadly there is some bug which means that whilst all my other apps have graphite close/minimise/expand buttons, iTunes doesn't.

If I change from Graphite to Blue, as expected these buttons are red/yellow/green in all the other apps, but perversely turn Graphite in iTunes.
