Alongside today's releases of OS X 10.10.5 and iOS 8.4.1, Apple has also released iTunes 12.2.2, bringing additional fixes for Apple Music.
This update includes the following improvements:

- Click on the Beats 1 banner to see what's currently on, or view a complete broadcast schedule so you never miss a show
- You can now view a list of the artists you're following on Apple Music
- Resolved an issue where iTunes loses its place when you go back to a previous page in Apple Music
- Addressed a problem where artists may be sorted incorrectly in My Music
- Fixed a problem where playlists displayed in the action menu may not match the playlists in your library
- Artists can now share thoughts, photos, music, and videos to Connect, right from iTunes

This update also includes improvements to overall stability and performance.
iTunes 12.2.2 for OS X can be downloaded from the Software Update mechanism in the Mac App Store.

Does it allow the removal of the right info bar, which is "slightly" annoying. Also can one remove references to 'Radio' in the main menu.

If find that Apple have turned iTunes into an obnoxious beast....

Doesn’t seem to solve any of my issues with it so far. Switching between My Music, For You and New still resets the views. For instance, when you are viewing an artist in My Music or Playlists and you are browsing the “All” tab of an artist, browse through it and click on an album, iTunes switches to the New tab to show you the album. When you then switch back, you are at the “My Music” tab of the artist view again and have to do all of this again. It’s still such a pain in the arse, it’s so bad.

Aaaaand the beach ball is back.... So much more unresponsive now. I don't understand who controls these updates.

Yeah, I also have that. :( It also still starts to crawl once I start downloading songs in Apple Music. For instance, while viewing an artist it will suddenly become ridiculously unresponsive. And it will also mess with the list of artists and lose you position there.

Can I finally add Albums to my Music collection without having to drill into the Album details on the desktop? It's easier to do on the iOS app but I primarily listen on the desktop.

Having to open album, click add, click the Back button, open the next album is damn annoying. Spotify was much easier to use in that regards :(

I really can't stand the iTunes interface these days. So many sub-menus and sub-sub-navigation tools. They've added so much crap onto here! E.g. the distinction between "My Music" and "Playlists" makes no sense. Even when you're on "Playlists" (which at least looks kinda like the simpler iTunes of old) there are THREE different navigation tools on the top bar - switching between music, movies etc; my music, playlists, for you, radio...; and sorting items like artists/songs etc. Not clear which of these menu choices put you in different sections of the app. On top of that you have a weird THREE column view.

Gah, Steve would never allow this kind of UI crap.

Full ack. iTunes used to be so Finder-like, even Spotlight’s instant and powerful search originated there (it’s mostly gone now and replaced with a more static search). In the playlists sidebar they force this separation between ‘local’ playlists and pre-made Apple Music playlists upon you, the latter which you cannot put into folders, rename or sort manually. I now have a really long list of Apple Music playlists that completely crowds out my own playlists, which are put at the bottom.

Hi, I just want to ask if there is someone who has same problem in iTunes like me.
Since 12.2 iTunes update I have issue with my music library during playing music.
If I begin to play some song from my library, artist name of next albums in library temporary disappears.

All music is tagged right and with previous versions of iTunes I did not have this problem.

I attach link for screens of this issue and highlight it with red color: http://postimg.org/gallery/2eo11ehmw/

iTunes 12.2.2 - Yosemite 10.10.4
Thanks!

Well, at least we can retain a slither of hope that revolution of iTunes is on the cards, as they haven't changed the name...
If it had been renamed "iHome" or "iEverything" or "iMedia" etc then that would be the coffin-nail of longevity.
But as "iTunes", we can stay strong, and hope for a proper recycling, with splitting of the software into syncing and media management programs, and proper UI development in the Apple-way..

Or am I dreaming?! ;-)

What a bad update, first the "iCloud Download" tab appears everywhere and all my iCloud music also, which I don't like to see and I have "Show Apple Music" off.

I go to view, and select "Only Music Available Offline" so I'm ok, no iCloud Music showing on my Music, but then I go to my playlist and it shows the iCloud Music, WTH?!?!

Also, iCloud Videos are showing and I have no idea how to turn that off, I have tried everything, it shouldn't be so hard to turn that off.

Really bad update, running El Capitan PB3.

Any thoughts?

This is seriously the buggiest piece of crap I've had the displeasure of using by :apple: (well aside from MobileMe). I don't have iTunes Match or have subscribed to :apple:Music, & occasionally think sure, I'll listen to beats 1 & see what all the fuss is about, so I crank up iTunes click radio tab, click listen now, & nothing, App stores load up fine as does Music / Film stores, but beats 1, nah, think I've got it to load once since it started, can't say it fills me with confidence to part with my hard earned cash & let :apple: butcher my playlists, does this update fix it? Nah!
& what really gets my goat is having to constantly enter my password to get updates for previously downloaded apps, my iPhone doesn't hassle me this way, why should the mac?:(

Looking forward to reports from those who use iTunes Match but not Apple Music.

Are your playlists, metadata and music behaving properly?
Match but no Apple Music here. After using 12.2.2 for 20 minutes I don't see any problems. I didn't have serious issues with 12.2.1 either though. I think most of the bugs only affect people who signed up for Apple Music.
