Don't you think that sounds a little entitled?
I understand what you're saying but nowhere on the beats1 website does it say it would be live 24/7. I'm sure as they have more shows it'll start to fill up the time slots.

Seriously, it's common sense. Why would we want to hear the same things we listened to yesterday? That's why it was supossed to be live world wide, when America goes to sleep Europe wakes up. That's why they have DJs from both parts of the world, so they can always be live.

Entitled? Why? I'm paying for Apple Music and I paid for my iPhone. If Apple is promoting a 24/7 live station WORLDWIDE I expect it to be that. Beats1 today was a 12/7 live station, 12/7 recorded station.

Beats1 is free, regardless of Apple Music. And Apple Music is currently also free? I'm pretty sure you would have bought your iPhone regardless of Apple Music, yes? And I am going to reiterate that they have never said it would be Live 24/7.

I think you're american, that's why it doesn't bother you. Americans are sleeping right now so they won't even notice. But for Europeans Beats1 repeats itself, if you listen to it in the morning there's no point in listening to it in the evening.

I am, in fact, American. In New York. And I'm still awake! West Coast is probably also still awake. And I listened to Zane this afternoon as well. You could always just listen to an Apple Music Playlist or create your own radio station based on a song you like. That's the service you are paying* for.

But that's not "live" to me, I doubt anyone thinks otherwise. If you are promoting a 24/7 worldwide stationg, always live, always on, beats1!!! I expect it to be live all the time. It's 7 am right now in Europe, I expect to hear live radio, not the same things I head yesterday evening.
Well I am in Australia. I stayed up for the first bit of Beats 1 today morning at 2 AM. Now it's 15:30 here, and I have listened to the same song at least twice.
I also think Always on is not equal to Always live. They need to fit people in other different time zone, and recorders also need to sleep. This is the same thing for regular radio stations.

Yes but this is not a regular radio station, it's a 24/7 always on worldwide station. What's the point of having it always on and worldwide when half the time you're just repeating it? It's a really easy problem to fix, just hire DJs from both parts of the world, that way timezones wouldn't be a problem. That's what I was expecting anyway. Zane could host for Europeans in Europe's time zones and the other 2 American DJs could host for Americans in their timezones.

Zane lives in Los Angeles now. Julie is in the UK, she's British. Ebro is in NYC.

Wondering what you mean by "I heard the same song twice.." It's RADIO. And they have exclusives. They'd be fools to not repeat great songs such as the new Pharrell song. People are tuning into it to hear it. No brainer..

I'm in Los Angeles, I've worked in alternative radio -- I can say with a certainty Apple has a winner on its hands. Global radio will now become the norm and has graduated from the underground...

Frankly this is so Apple. Disruptive for sure. Clear Channel aka iheart missed the boat.

The purchase of Beats is now perfectly clear. Brilliant move all around ..

There's something very tribal about turning on this new station and feel people from all over the world are listening to the same tune at the same time.

Awesome.

This is not global radio, what's global about it? Explain please. To be a Worldwidre radio you have to be live all the time, not this recorded bs.

Well, you can upgrade to 10.9.5. It's really not a big deal. Why you have gotten the most recent security and bug fixes on Mavericks and yet want new feature in iTunes is very questionable.

It's quite simple actually. I'm using a Windows video card in my 2009 Mac Pro and I'm not entirely sure that I can upgrade to 10.9.5 without borking my setup. As much as I would love to upgrade my rig, I can't afford it as of now.

Best feature of Apple Music is Siri integration, that't the only reason I would switch from Spotify.

Lie in the bed with closed eyes and say, "Hey Siri, Play Mozart" and you get to hear Eine kleine nachtmusik.

Still no 12.2 here. iTunes says a new version is ready to download, connects to the App Store which then shows that no updates are available

Watch OS 1.0.1 has been available for awhile now. The next version will be out this fall. But I suspect you already knew this and were just playing with us. Very clever.

Umm. No. There is an update for the Apple Watch for Apple Music. Says so on Apples website and 3 Apple reps that I have spoken with have confirmed it. They just don't know when it will come out exactly. But it will come out shortly. It will either be 1.0.2 or 1.1.

Yep. I have heard Zane mentioned users should tap in Beats 1 to see if there is localised content. His one is for New York.

Apple always aims at providing localised contents, I think, rather than providing all the same contents around the world, although the price is all the same around the globe.

At least, at this launching period, listening to same contents twice is normal.

I say "I heard the same song twice" just because I have heard the same song twice, with different cut in maybe.

I don't have that good memory or consciousness to note which song I have heard twice, but I can say if this song has been played twice when I hear the rhythm. Maybe you are in an area which is perfect for listening radio when you are awake, and sleep. For TV station, they may repeat broadcasting news during 12:00 to 6:00, which many of us will not notice because they don't stay up.

After all of this nightmare messing about with my iCloud library, I have discovered even the most basic of tasks (retrieving all the album artwork I have lost) is processing at one album a minute. Painfully slow. 1500 to go.

I can't get 12.2 to talk to my iPhone. i.e. I make a playlist on one device and it never appears on the other. Got everything turned on, the small cloud icon in iTunes in top right does some animation but nothing ever happens??
