Just don't tell me they removed star ratings from this too...

Yikes! Didn't realize star ratings were gone from iOS Music app. I use star ratings heavily on both iOS and Mac.

A little research suggests I'll be inconvenienced but still able to do what I do. iOS 10 testers report that:

- Smart Playlists still work on iOS 10 and respond to star ratings as always.

- You can tell Siri "Rate this song 4 stars" to avoid having to rate from your Mac/PC.

Really hope the on-screen star ratings come back though!

My decade-old system:

5 stars: the VERY best of the best
4 stars: my favorite songs
3 stars: all the rest of the songs I like
2 stars: neutral—but OK to have in shuffle for variety so I don't get as tired of my favorites
1 star: dislike!
0 stars: unrated, need to decide

Then I can devote as much or as little space to my music on each device as I want, by syncing Smart Playlists like "2+ Stars" and "4+ Stars."

I use iCloud music library. I have music in iCloud but not on my Mac. So I find an iCloud album, and hit the download button.

iTunes tells me the T&C have been updated and I need to accept them. Okay.

T&C come up. I check the check box. Then I get this:

Screen Shot 2016-09-13 at 17.23.01.png

This keeps coming up. I can't access any of my iCloud music. Restarting iTunes and restarting my Mac don't fix it.

Any ideas? If I click on the More Info button, it just loads the main Apple Support website in Safari.

And it's broken. I tried to watch a TV show and movie to try PiP, it forces me to accept new terms, and when I do it brings me to an "Item Not Available" page.

Edit: All of the store content is broken for me.
Same happens when I tried to update apps

UPDATE: I agreed to the terms on my iPhone...now it works in itunes

Minor but annoying - the recent drop down to select music/movies/tv

Major and still annoying - the disconnect between Apple Music and the iTunes Store. I like browsing the store, it's easy to find what I want there. So why can't I add music to Apple Music from there? I have to go into For You and find the same thing, then add it. It's needlessly complicated. They should have "purchase" and "+" in the same section.

I love Apple Music and the new Design is great. I can't afford to pay for it really but on the other hand I don't want to part with it.

First world problems, eh.

Been using 12.5 for a bit on Sierra, and really like it. Especially like that it's usable without the sidebar again.

Looking forward to an Apple Music app for macOS next year.

There's no reason why iTunes should still be around as the bloated everythingware that it is.

The App Store could manage iOS apps and syncing. iCloud already does backups but for the sake of those who want to plug in, macOS could handle the backup.

For those who still want to buy music rather than stream it, they'll have Apple Music like everyone else but next to each song and album will be a buy button. It'll certainly entice them to pay the $9.99 and get all you can listen to for one flat price.

All that is remaining is a dedicated Movies/TV app for iOS and macOS. Maybe a deal with movie and tv studios for a streaming video service like Apple Music will be reached for WWDC 2017 and we can move on from storing huge libraries of movies and tv shows on our computers and just watch what we want to watch, when we want to watch it.

Agree with the idea although I still think there's a future for a slimmed down iTunes app for just movies, TV and bought music. Apple Music, and any other streaming service, is missing a lot content, plus there's plenty who prefers to buy their music.

How about no? I would much rather control my own copies of my media and keep everyone out of it, How about letting us buy Itunes media I can download and play on any system instead without having to install a apple application or converting to a DRM stripped file? Pipe dreams? .......Most certainly, but that's what it should be.

Same here. I think I'll wait a while on IOS10 now if they can't even get this one app right.

I am not able to transfer my purchased songs from Apple Store to my cars hard drive and play them. Any solution to fixing this? All the other songs from CDs, other download sites work fine. I even try burning CD from iTune and then loading them in directly into the cars hard drive. No luck there either.

I absolutely agree that it is needlessly complicated. Keeping tabs for Apple Music and the iTunes Store separate is just a mess. How difficult could it be to integrate the Apple Music library within the iTunes Store and just have a little graphic or icon indicator next to tracks saying this is not available for Apple Music?

Likewise I have been requesting for Apple to just combine iTunes and Music into just one iTunes app for iOS for as long as I can remember. It's just confusing and convoluted. Always has been and always will be as long as they insist on keeping things disconnected and separate.
