Apple has released a maintenance update for iTunes today. The new version is available via Apple's Software Update and provides a number of bug fixes:
- Disables older versions of some incompatible third-party plug-ins
- Addresses minor issues with dragging and dropping items
- Addresses a performance issue when first syncing to some devices with iTunes 9.2
- Addresses an issue upgrading to iOS 4 on an iPhone or iPod touch with encrypted back-ups
- Addresses other issues that improve stability and performance
The software is also available for download direct from Apple's site.

Hopefully this fixes the odd drag-and-drop issue I'm having where I'd drag multiple items into iTunes, but only the first actually copies over.

Hope this won't mess up anything, since iTunes runs fine for me already.

Same here; iTunes is simply perfect for me...will update anyway.

How is it people would vote negative for a software upgrade which fixes known issues?

Windows and Android fanboys; by the way, am hearing an AWESOME progressive metal album by Fates Warning (Parallels) - you should give it a try as a fellow metal head. 😉

Hopefully this will get rid of those stupid "free song of the week"'s, because in 5 years, I've found ONE artist there that was listen-to-able.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_0_1 like Mac OS X; de-de) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8A306 Safari/6531.22.7)

Does it fix the problem with homesharing?

iTunes does not recognise an updated App. so my girlfriend has to put in my iTunes password, everytime there is an update. If I buy a new App it gets synced to her Mac automatically, but not if I Download an update.

dose it fix the slow graphics for visual display bloody hope so nothing worse than a jerking video screen

probably a new round of iPod models coming very soon. Apple loves to force you to upgrade to the very latest iTunes wether you want too or not, just so you can use the latest iPods. Apple has you right where they want you!
