iPod touch now has a new thumbnail in the device home page.

Album covers look a little bit different...guess they change the shadow effect around borders a little.

It built thumbnails for the art work on first launch.

Synced to my ipod classic (80gb) and the art work seems to be more in sync. Will have to test it pout more to be sure. The artwork was usually 70% correct on my ipod and off the rest. Sometimes songs from the same album would have different artwork from other artists' albums. And I keep it organized in itunes. Hopefully this fixed it.

Who in their right mind would run out and install the latest rev of software
when you have a jailbroken phone? I thought it was SOP to wait until they
got the new version figured out?

Works just fine for me. And it shows my iPhone running iOS 4 eventhough I'm still on 3.1.3 :)

"Album artwork improvements make artwork appear more quickly when exploring your library"

oh ****,they put turbo inside ! really!

u're kinda unlucky,it's blazing fast now,i couldn't ask for more.

No benefit to Mac or PC users apparently.

So the only benefit to those of us without an iOS device is that album artwork loads quicker. We still can't buy or read iBooks on our computers. Hmm, not going to be upgrading to this one.

Has anyone noticed that when you click on another track now, rather then immediately showing you the album art in the preview window, it fades into it. I wonder if they've tucked an on/off control somewhere in the preferences?

Its fast for me (i'm a mac user) but i know windows users who do not like itunes as a software to put it mildly

WOW, iTunes is running like I am using a brand new computer. This is the fastest best performing version of iTunes' I've ever used on Vista running laptop. Finally, by backup time was just a minute down from an hour +.

All around I am impressed. The download was about 65mb much less than the typical iTunes setup files in the past.

i dun wanna start the holywar but really, who cares about win users? u chose what u need.

how many iPhone/iPod touch users are windows users; Apple really needs a faster iTunes on windows.

hope the above poster true and iTunes 9.2 improves performance is better in windows too...

i downloaded beta 9.2 on my mac it is fast like others telling it is just one bounce.

one question, do i need to upgrade from beta 9.2 to current 9.2?

Yes. The beta is an older build - but you will need to download it from the Apple site as software update won't do it for you as you have the beta installed.
