You forgot negative caring. Therefore your argument is invalid. To ignore numbers below zero is the most blatant form of discrimination, tantamount to a hate crime.

Oh my god! It's all so clear to me now! I mean, this changes every...oh...wait...forgot!

<could still care less

i agree with you on this one it annoys me to buggery trying to make sense of a comment that has been written by someone who has forgotten all about spelinng and punctuation and grammar there is no way to tell where one attempt at a sentence ends and the next one starts i once received an email from someone seeking employment and it was written as if it was a text to one of their friends i am not sure if he realised that his fate was decided before i got to the end of the stramash of letters

The only things I've retained from the above sentence-like structure were the words: buggery and stramash.

Is anybody else having this issue? Sure it's a big download... but it should not take this long.

Whats the difference between a normal update an a COMBO? I'm new to mac.

Normal is if you have the previous version (10.6.3) so you only get the latest updates.

Combo gives you the full update so you can install it on any system running Snow Leopard (10.6 - 10.6.3).

And it makes no difference If you run the Combo update on a Mac with the previous version compared to the Normal update.

The normal update will only work on machines with the previous 10.X.x release.
In this case, the 10.6.4 update will only apply to machines with 10.6.3.

The Combo Update will work on all machines running the the same version of 10.X.
The 10.6.4 Combo update will update all versions of 10.6 (10.6 - 10.6.3) and it can be used to reinstall 10.6.4 on a machine with 10.6.4 already (for troubleshooting purposes).

Huge performace increase on 330m :)

Half-life 2 on Very High texture and on portal all setting can be maxed out without lag! Native resolution on 1680x1050. :) I have not tested to max out Half-Life 2 yet, but before the update i only could have the texture set to medium. Huge performace increase on the video driver. TY steam. TY apple for listening to steam. TY nvidia and Apple fort building the drivers . :)

Also the computer now handle to have PS CS5 with GPU acceleration and Windows 7 with aero glass on wmware Fusion 3.1 on the same time without expose to lag or the computer to become unstable.. :D All stable!

i am happy :D

I have noticed an improvement on startup speed with this update. I installed a 7200rpm drive about a month ago and it was fast, but 10.6.4 sure speed it up more. Other than that no problems. I am still disappointed that we dont have inertial scrolling. I use the Magic Mouse quite a bit and have gotten use to it. I know i can download third party software that does it but would much rather have apple do it. I dont like installing to many hacks on my computer. I guess thats the reason I have never had an OS update screw anything up since 10.0

Thread Hijacked

I have to call your attention to a grave problem. A large portion, perhaps 20% to 30%, of the posts in this thread are about something called "mac OS" or "iPhone", and not about grammar, syntax, misspellings, idioms, or etymology.

Please, people, stay on topic. Think of the children.

Installed on '09 Mini, let it restart, sat at the blue screen and flickered one and off for about 30 minutes.

Forced shut down, restarted.

Loading screen comes up, it restarts again on its own, boots up fine.

Thats was weird...

it also broke Letterbox, Growlmail, and truepreview. i'll be performing a restore; not happy...

Aaron Harnly (LetterBox developer) has already started on a fix for 10.6.4 and it should be released sometime tonight or early tomorrow. Just keep checking his site.

Letterbox for 10.6.4 — very soon

June 15th, 2010 by aaronharnly

Sorry, 10.6.4 landed a little sooner than I’d thought. I’ll put up a version of Letterbox for Mail 4.3 sometime tonight. Hang tight.

cheers,

~aaron

I have no sympathy for Mail add-ons not working. Those developers should be on the Apple Developer radar and have tested their sharewares on the many 10.6.4 buildup versions. So blame those developers for being lazy.

Update: I emailed the developer of Mail Act On and Mail Tags and within 30 minutes I had a reply that an update will be available tonight. He was gracious enough to send me a direct link for both since I'm a registered user. I wish all developers were that quick and accommodating.

updated installed, no issues, no visible differences either

combo download was super fast

Why is this taking SO LONG? It's been stuck at 226.4 MB for a really long time, and now it's jumped from 99 hours to 300!

the new Mail 4.3 app breaks all plugins

Darnit! When will the developers be upgrading their plugins, anyone know? I can't tell that the new mail is any different from the old mail, other than that my Dockstar and Letterbox no longer work at all :(
