Anyone know of it fixed the 'wi-fi connection dropping' problem that some of us are experiencing?

Hmmm... safari seems snappier...

Any improvement on graphics drivers? If not, I'm tempted to go back to Windows....

Why? Use Chrome if you do not like a "secure" Version of Safari.
Or do you like security issues?

Chrome won't run on my PowerMac so I haven't bothered on any of my computers. I want a consistent experience across all platforms. That means Firefox and Safari. Safari 5 seems faster here (especially loading the home page, which could take forever on 4.x), so I'm not sure what that person is referring to.

I hope this update fixes a problem with the MidiMan 2x2 interface I have (only works right if unplugged and then plugged back in AFTER Logic 9.1 or Garage Band is started) since they obviously aren't doing anything about it.

Thought the new iTunes would be grouped with this? Wierd. Wonder why Safari, 10.6.4, and iTunes didn't just come out at the same time instead of sprinkled over a few weeks?

It seems like 10.6.4 adds some more SSD support. :)

Under 10.6.3, my 13" MacBook Pro (2010 model) identified the SSD drive correctly, but iMac did not.

Now, under 10.6.4, my iMac 27" also correctly identifies the drive as Solid State, but still says "No" to TRIM support, just like the MBP. Hopefully 10.6.5 will bring Trim support as well.

Check out the attached image.

I had to let go of OSX on my MBP with Intel x25-m G2 for Win7 a couple of weeks ago. After a considerable churn of files in and out it was no longer feeling like OSX was running on a crazy fast SSD.

A NTFS format and enabling compression followed by running Intel SSD Optimizer and it is flying again. Having not run Windows on Mac for some time I was suspecting lot of BootCamp hassles including crappy Trackpad support but was glad to see it all just works with BC 3.1. After downclocking the Nvidia 9600GT battery life is acceptable too. So no reason to go back to OS X without TRIM.

Wonder if the SSDs Apple fits on the MBPs out of factory also suffer from same issues without TRIM support?

Weird, I haven't experienced any slowdown..

Well.... roll me around in syrup and dust me down with icing sugar! My smart arsed comment earlier has clearly been seen by S Jobs and he yanked the 10/100 ethernet cable a bit just as i was downloading. Corrupted my download so it won't expand!

Combo Updater for me. All 887.4MB of it.

Did they fix the problem with the temperatures?

After 10.6.3 my temps went up... 10.6.3 messed up my temps...

Um... curse my 512kb broadband

"- resolve an issue editing photos with iPhoto or Aperture in full screen view"

Yes yes yes! I hope this refers to the problem with fudged up colours and lots of mad lines being added to photos.

Is this the promised update with better video drivers too?

When are they gonna give us back File Size sorting when using CMD+F??
I used to use that constantly! Seems a pretty reasonable request considering it was part of Mac OS for....ever?

Whats the difference between the combo update and a one through the software update menu?

What I hope it resolves....

It was either the last OS update or security update that started my problems with external monitors on my macbook.

When I connect to a monitor/tv/projector and mirror, both screens are just fine until I try to use power point full screen, watch a movie or do anything that changes the resolution. Then my laptop monitor gets scrambled. At times this isn't a problem as I can just turn down the brightness to zero and that only affects the built in monitor. But if you need to use both screens (presentation) then its a pain.
